"Baby, y/n, I'm really sorry. You must be surprised by that situation. That woman is one of the agency artists and I never once told her my birth name. I'll ask the members, they could have told her."

You stood on the balcony of your room, overlooking the city view at night while leaning your body against the railing. After saying those things, the woman just walked away and left everyone in a confused state. Of course, remembering that woman had called Chan by the name 'Chris' took you by surprise.

Mixed feelings filled your chest cavity. Could you be angry? Yes, you could, because this was your right as his girlfriend. But on the other hand, you never knew anything about Chan's past.

You never knew, was there someone who had filled his heart and whole mind? Or did they actually have a special relationship?

If so, you had no right to be angry. Who were you anyway ?

"It's okay, Chris. I understand. I'm fine."

You said you were fine, but you still didn't want to look at Chan who had been standing behind you. Chan of course realised it, yes realised that you were not okay and he hated it.

He hated it when you kept pretending to be strong.

"It's my fault-" he said as he walked over to you. He tucked his hands around your waist and buried his face at the crook of your neck. He tightened his embrace, inhaling your scent that made him addicted.

"-get mad at me, Y/n. Please, can you be a little selfish, hmm?"

You turned your body towards Chan, giving him a faint smile. Looking at his face always made your heart calm and you didn't want to lose it. You knew he had a tough job, so with that, you didn't want to give him more burden just because of you. You wanted that face to always smile happily.

"I'm not angry, I'm actually grateful that you explained what happened earlier. I trust you, Chris. As I said."

Different, that's what Chan had in mind. You were different from the others.

Even so different from Rena.

He thought you'd scold him, he thought you won't forgive him,

he thought you'd leave him.

But you didn't.

"Chris, can you promise me something?"

"Anything for you, love."

"Please never lie to me. We are a couple, and I want us to share and not keep things alone.

Even if you don't love me anymore,

please be honest to me."

Chan nodded, then he immediately caught your lips with his. It was only a peck, but you were grateful that the kiss was sincere and honest.

"I will, but not loving you anymore ? Maybe that would be the dumbest thing I do in my entire life."

Tears slowly pooled in your eyes, making you immediately sink yourself into his chest, as usual, so he didn't see it. As tears rolled down your cheeks, you smiled sadly.

You just set a 'time bomb', and it will explode when the time comes.

All his beautiful words would kill you slowly,

slowly until he'd gone with the wind.

"You don't want to ask about that woman?" he asked. You answered him with a slow shake, causing him to furrow his brows in confusion.

"Why ?"

"You can tell me when you're ready."

This time, he agreed with you. He needed to focus on resolving his past with Rena noona without involving you.

Because the past that had been finished would make you relieved to live the future.

Chan walked in with a smile that didn't fade from his face. Today, his mood was very good. He looked at the bag he had been holding, the bag containing lunch made by you since he couldn't have it with you today.

Ah, he couldn't get over the figure of you cooking. You looked amazingly beautiful then.

"Hi, Chan. How are you ?" A man's voice greeted Chan as he entered the room.

"More than good, hyung. How about you ?"

"Just like you, although you look much better. You look so fresh." teased the man, the project and concept chief who had accompanied him for years in this entertainment industry.

Chan laughed, he was right. Either his hyung was right or just himself obviously looked happier lately.

"Well, as I said yesterday. You will be doing a collaborative project on a song."

"Okay, hyung. With who?"

"With me."

A woman suddenly appeared behind him. Drop of cold sweat dripped from Chan's forehead. This voice, the voice that once again managed to ruin his heart and mind.

This voice, the voice that could brainwash him and make him lose his senses.

This voice, the voice he never wanted to hear again.

"R-rena sunbae?"

"Sunbae? Since when have you been so awkward with me, Christopher ?

Isn't our relationship so 'special'?"

Chan was silent, trying hard not to look at her face. His feelings were mixed as his past memories flashed into his view. He closed his eyes, clenching his fists tightly. But a lunch bag that he had been holding made his heart beat back to normal.

He remembered that the food he was holding was made by his 'home'.

"It's an honor to work with you, Rena sunbae. Let's do well for this project."

Chan's professional response made the woman, soloist Rena Kim, grunted in annoyance. The atmosphere instantly became more awkward a moment after.

"U-uh, alright, Chan, Rena, let's start discussing this song. Oh Chan, you're also preparing for a group comeback, right? We will meet frequently to discuss the track with the producers. You'd better move to the dorm to be more effective."
