The Milky Way is the galaxy that includes our Solar System, with the name describing the galaxy's appearance from Earth: a hazy band of light seen in the night sky formed from stars that cannot be individually distinguished by the naked eye.
Radius: 52,850 light years
Age: 13.51 billion years
Earth is inside the milky way....
Question : What device took a picture of the Milky way?
How long did that take? Cuz 52,850 lights is a lot of years...
How did scientist calculate the age of the Milky Way?
Did they take a rock from the Milky Way and decided that was the age ?
But that wouldn't really makes sense because the rock could be really young or old compare to the actual age of said Milky Way🤔
Also they are saying the radius of the Milky way is 52,850 light years but thats only the radius
How did they figure out the radius ?
And to find the entire length of the Milky Way would we have to find the circumference because it is sort of circular ?
