Soo Kyung POV:
"And where is Kai?"
"I'm here." I looked towards the voice's direction and finally I saw his face. He looked at me nervously.
"There he is, Kai. Well, you two know each other, right? Kai, take care of her." He nodded and the manager left. He came to me.
"Umm... Have a sit first." He said while scratching his neck. Everyone's eyes are on us. I sat on a chair and he sat beside me.
"So... Kai-ssi, or should I call you Jongin-ssi?"
"It's up to you what you wanna call me."
"Hey, what's up with you two? Manager-nim just said that you knew each other? What does that mean?" The man that I remembered as Baekhyun asked. I looked at him and he understood it.
"Umm... Do you guys remember our last tour... You guys asked me about the girl I met there, right? It's her."
"Ohhhh, so she's the rumored girlfriend of Kai." Baekhyun teased.
"Actually, not only that... She's my wife." Everyone's eyes went wide. I chuckled at their cute reaction. I don't know why but I kinda comfortable with them.
"Hello, sister-in-law." They immediately stood and bowed to me. I was shocked.
"Shoosh! What are you guys doing? You're scaring her!" Kai scolded them. Then, they scratched their neck.
"The interview is starting soon!" Someone came in and said.
"Ye. Kaja, yeorobun." Suho, who is the leader responded and told us to started moving. Kai stayed by my side all the time and helped me with things.

I entered the house.
"Soo Kyung-ssi..." He said as he closed the door. I turned towards him.
"Can we talk?" I nodded and went to sit on the couch. He did the same.
"I'm sorry for not telling you that. I intended to tell you but you didn't seem interested in me at all and you always ignored me when I talked to you so... I didn't mean to blame you but..."
Kai POV:
"Stop." She cut me off. I looked at her.
"I'm sorry for being mean to you in the past." She said. I'm quite confused at her words.
"Well, you're Kai. My friend. I never mean to my friend."
"Are you having some kind discrimination towards Jongin or what?"
"Yep. Because I see him as a man. But Kai, I see him as a friend. It's different."
"Well, you're the kind of being cold to everyone else but kind to your friend, huh?"
"You can say that. I'm sure I already told you I don't believe in men nor love. Just like our marriage. I just did this for my family. That's what they wanted after all."
"Why is that? I mean why didn't you believe in men, believe in love? It's okay if you don't wanna tell me. I'm just asking as usually, there's a reason behind something." She looked down, breathed in and out, and looked at me.
Author's POV:
Flashback to Soo Kyung's childhood:
She was in her room doing her homework. Then, she heard her parents talking about something through the door but she didn't quite understand it. She just heard something like eomma's friend is coming and appa will go and pick her up. She didn't understand if she's eomma's friend, why is appa the one who will pick her up. She stayed in her room eventhough she heard the chatting from outside because her parents didn't call for her to be outside so she didn't see the need to go out. As the night started to get late, she stopped doing her work and wanted to go out to get some water. As she's on her way to the kitchen, she heard a laughter of a man and woman. She went to the living room and saw her appa with an unknown woman are going out. They got into the car and left to god knows where to.
End of flashback
Soo Kyung POV:
"And since that night, I got to know that my parents didn't love each other at all. My mom knew it all along and she didn't care about it. My dad always came home late or didn't come back at all. Also, since then, I knew how this family works. My mom always asked me to get married as she wanted an heir for our family. She said love is not important. I guess that's how she and my dad have been living for all these years. That's my story. Unexpected, right? But that's what it's like. Then, I gave up in fighting with them since I graduated so I decided to come back for the company and today's interview was my last task before I resign. " He didn't say anything at all.
" Alright, I'm going upstairs now. " I went upstairs to my room. I closed the door and leaned onto it.
Kai POV:
Her story still running in my head. I was lost in thought. Then, someone touched my shoulder. I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at the person sitting beside me.
" What are you thinking of, Jongin-ah?" Chen hyung asked me. Maybe I should talk to him as he's more experienced in this.
"Hyung, how do you confess to your wife in the past?" He looked at me weird.
"Why did you ask that?"
"Ani, I don't know what to do now. Since you're experienced, maybe you could share it with me. Although... my case is different..."
"What's wrong? You seem bothered since you came."
"Hyung, yesterday, she told me why she didn't believe in men, believe in love and I've been thinking about that. I thought about how I could change her mind about that, and I'm different. I can bring her happiness."
"Maybe you could try by winning her heart slowly. Just ignore your marriage status, start from zero where you both didn't have any relationship. Who knows one day, she will open up her heart." I nodded at his advice.
"Alright, stop thinking about that. Let's continue practicing." We both got up and went to the others to continue our dance practice.
