The morning rays stroke into Soo Kyung's eyes making her open her eyes and looked at the clock on the bedside table. She woke up, rubbed her eyes, and repair her messy hair due to sleep.
"Feels like it's been a long time since I last woke up early in the morning." She said and started to wash herself up.
Jongin walked upstairs to see if Soo Kyung has woken up yet or not after being done preparing breakfast. He knocked on her door three times but there was no answer. He opened it slowly and peeked in. No one. At the same time, Soo Kyung came out of the bathroom with only a towel wrapping around her body. She screamed at the sight of him at the door and he immediately turned around and then closed the door.
"I'm sorry. I just want to tell you that the breakfast is ready. Come down after you're done." He then went downstairs.

Soo Kyung went downstairs in her formal attire.
"You're going to work today?" She nodded and took her seat at the dining table. "You should rest for a few days more."
"For what? I already failed to fulfill my parents' demand, all I have left is the company so I need to take care of it properly." Jongin shut his mouth up. "I'm full." After only a few bites of toast, she took her handbag and got up. Jongin also got up and held her hand to stop her.
"You ate so little. I'll pack the rest for you to bring to the company." Jongin was about to go into the kitchen but was stopped by Soo Kyung.
"No need. I already told you that you don't need to do these things." She left the house and Jongin started to clean up the table. "One more thing," She entered the house back. "I have something to talk about with you. Are you free tonight?" He nodded. She truly left the house for the company this time.

"Good morning, President Shin." One by one worker bowed and greeted her as she walked from the main door to her office. Her personal assistant came in after she settled down at her place. "Bring me all the reports during my absence in the office." She nodded and left the room. She came back with a pile of files. "Just put it there. I'll look at it later. I need you to go to the Legal Department to prepare a divorce agreement and acquisition contract for Kim Group. Remind them to include a reasonable compensation in the clause for both the agreement and acquisition contract."
"Are you going to divorce Kai? I mean, Mr. Kim?!" The assistant asked in disbelief.
"Is it your business?" Soo Kyung asked sternly. She shook her head quickly. "Just do as I told you." She nodded and left but Soo Kyung stopped her. She turned her body to face her boss. "As an assistant of a president of a big company, you should know what should run out of your mouth. Understand what I mean?"
"I understand." Soo Kyung made a signal with her hand meaning that she can go now.

As Soo Kyung was catching up on the things she missed out on during her absence, her phone rang. It was from her one and only best friend, Sannie.
Soo Kyung: Wae?!
Sannie: How furious you are! Don't you miss me?
Soo Kyung: I'm busy. I don't have time to play with you.
Sannie: I heard you're discharged from the hospital, that's why I called you today. It's lunchtime soon. Let's meet up and have lunch together.
Soo Kyung: Let's make a rain check later. I have so many things to catch up on.
Sannie: Please... Someone wants to meet you so much.
Soo Kyung: Aish! Alright then.
Sannie: Niceu! I'll be waiting at your company.

"Who are we going to meet?" Soo Kyung kept asking from the time she got in San's car.
"You'll see later." His answer was still the same. She gave up and decided to wait until they arrive at the destination. Without realizing it, she fell asleep.
"Yah! Wake up!" She slowly opened her eyes. "Doctor asked you to rest but you insisted on going to work. What a stubborn girl you are! We've arrived." She looked around while unbuckling her seatbelt. San opened the door for her as it took a while for her to do that. "Let's go." He led the way inside. "Sang Yoo!" He said her name after seeing her raise her hand for them. Soo Kyung heard the name and fastened her pace to go to the woman's table.
"Is it really you?!" She asked in disbelief that the person who was standing in front of her is her best friend when they were in college. Sang Yoo nodded while smiling brightly, happy to see Soo Kyung back.
"You're not hallucinating, fool! She's really back." San made her sit down on the chair and he went to sit beside Sang Yoo.
"When did you come back?"
"A few days ago. Sorry for not telling you. San told me that you were hospitalized so I didn't want to disturb you yet. Are you okay now?" Soo Kyung just nodded. She didn't want to talk about it. "Also, although it's late, congratulations on your marriage. I heard he's an idol. It must be hard for you, right?"
"Not really. And I planned to get a divorce." Both of their eyes howled out.
"Are you serious?! I thought you had already accepted him. What's the problem now?!" San was shocked to hear the decisions she made.
"It's my problem actually. I don't know how to accept him. I agree that he's really nice but he's too nice for me. He deserves someone better. A person who can love him wholeheartedly." San was speechless. He didn't know how to persuade his friend anymore. Sang Yoo couldn't say anything much as she only knew little about Soo Kyung's situation.

Soo Kyung opened the door to her house and saw Jongin was waiting for her in the living room. She walked to him and put two documents that she brought back on the table in front of him. He took it.
"If you're satisfied with the compensation, sign it. The second is the acquisition contract of your family's company. As both of our family's companies had emerged, even if our marriage failed, I will still take care of it properly. So if you're satisfied with all the clauses in the contract, you can sign it too."
"I disagree."
