Jongin POV:
I ran to the operation room and saw a woman sitting in front of it. I guess she's the one who called me earlier.
"Excuse me, are you the one who called me?" She looked up at me and got up.
"Ye, you're..."
"I'm her husband."
"Oh, I didn't know that President Shin is already married. I saw that you're on her most contacted person."
"Anyway, thank you for bringing her here. May I ask what happened to her."
"She suddenly collapsed at the office this morning. I guess she's too tired as she's been working nonstop since last week for a project. But suddenly, I don't know what happened to her. She's late for the meeting and the cooperation was canceled." I heard what she told me and sighed. Then, the doctor came out.
" Mr. Kim, you're here? Please follow me. "She said. I'm quite confused as she knows my name. I just followed her into the office and sat down on the chair.
" I'm Shin's family's doctor that's why I knew about you. If you're curious. "I was shocked as she can read my mind.
" So, how's she? "
" She's pregnant. And with her current state of mind, I'm afraid something will happen to her and the child. So, I hope you can spend more time with her. "
" She's pregnant? Really?! " I asked again as I'm feeling excited.
" Yes. But in early stage, she really needs more attention. Moreover, she's stressed right now and I really hope that you can care more about her mind state. "
" I understand. Thank you, doctor. " I bowed and left. I leaned my body on the wall and sighed. I felt happy at the news but at the same time I felt devastated as she's in that condition right now. I went to her ward and saw her parents were already there.
" She's okay, right? "They asked. I don't want them to feel worry.
" Yeah, she's okay. And... " When I'm about to tell about her pregnancy, eomma cut me off.
" After she's awake, handle her discharge immediately. " My eyes bawled out at her statement.
" But, eomma, I don't think that's the best for her."
"Just now you said she's okay, right? So we don't have to waste time and let her stay here." I saw her moving. I went to her.
"Soo Kyung-ah..." She slowly opened her eyes. I helped her to get up.
"You're awake now. Your appa will handle your discharge later and you need to go to coax those people from XOXO Group immediately. Do you know that our reputation fall down because of your irresponsibility? I want you to clean these mess up. Do you hear me? " She nodded helplessly. I'm worried about her health if she continue to overwork herself.
" No, I don't agree for her to go. "
" What do you mean, Jongin? If she don't go, our reputation won't be good anymore after this. This will involve your family too."
"That's why I'll be the one to go instead of her."
"What do you mean, oppa? Why do you have to go instead of me? Just let me go. It's my fault from the start." I turned to look at her.
"I don't want anything to happen to you and... and our baby." I caressed her belly. She looked at me shocked.
"What did you say just now? She's pregnant? She's really pregnant, right?" Her eomma grabbed my hand and asked for a confirmation. I nodded and smiled. She seems happy and I'm glad with that.
Soo Kyung POV:
I was sitting on the sofa in living room as I felt bored with just staying in the room. Jongin oppa is not here as he went to settle my work. I smiled at the thought that he care about me so much but do I have feelings for him? I shrugged the thought off and turned on the television.
"Last interview, the members told that Kai have a personal things to handle so he can't show up. At the same day, a fan reported seeing him went to a hospital. And today, the group management just announced that Kai will stop participating in the remaining activities for a while as he have some family matters to handle. What could it be? Is one of his family members sick? Let's move on to the next news. "
I turned off the television.
" Did he lie to me? He said he doesn't have any work more to do. "
Jongin POV:
I entered the house and saw her sitting on the sofa.
" Soo Kyung-ah, what are you doing? "
" Oppa, be honest with me. You gave up your comeback activities for me, right?"
" How... how do you know? "
" It's all over the news already. "
"Ah... I bet the company already made the announcement. But Soo Kyung - ah... I didn't mean to lie but if I told the truth, you won't let me, right?"
"Of course. You have your own career why should you interfere with my career."
"No matter what, the group is owned by both of us since the emerging happened because of our marriage. So, it's my responsibility too."
"Whatever you said." She went up to her room.
Soo Kyung POV:
I went into my room and sat on the bed. I took my phone and played with it. I scrolled over the EXO's official Instagram account and saw the announcement. My eyes caught a top comment and I pressed it to read more.
"I also saw him at the hospital that day. I followed him quietly and luckily he didn't notice me. I heard his conversation with a woman and I heard he said 'I'm her husband'. I was shocked to hear that. That means he rushed off to the hospital because of his wife but as far as we all the fans know, we never heard of his marriage at all. So, where did this wife of Kai came from? "
I continued to read as many people replied to it.
" Today, I also saw him entering our office. He came to meet our higher-ups saying that he's the representative of Shin Group. "
" When you said Shin Group, I suddenly remembered that the woman he was talking to said she doesn't know that President Shin is married. Maybe she's his wife? Even her worker didn't know it, does it mean that they married secretly? "
I read all of it and suddenly felt scared what if my identity disclosed? They already know about my company and also my position. It's just a matter of time they can get all the informations about me. Suddenly, my room door swung open revealing him. I kept my phone under my pillow.
"Haven't you sleep?" I shook my head.
"Go to sleep now." I nodded and laid down. He came and tucked me in then left to his room.
