Me and her talked all night about her life. I already thought she was amazing, now I see her as a hero. She would do anything for others, even go through being arrested just to make sure that her friends were happy. I didn't know what else to say, but wow. Everything she's ever done was to help others and I ran away and did the same things she did just to help myself. I felt selfish, but she wasn't mad at me. Now that we both know the truth about each other, she wanted me to help her. Since I haven't been caught stealing and she can't steal anymore or they would charge her like an adult and put her in jail for years. I don't know what to say.
"People say that miracles happen every day. You might not know it, but it's true. Look for that little miracle."
She looked at me and waited for my response. I didn't want to do anything that might get Shannon or Stef mad, but she needed me. For some reason I trusted her and believed that we can do this. Something about her made me feel safe and powerful. Maybe the way her long black straight hair blow in the wind or her beautiful light blue eyes. Something just made me say yes.
"It's states that most people live life with there eyes closed. Willing to follow anyone that would lead them. When you open your eyes and realize something beautiful, you should make that the reason why to follow."
I told her to come back to Shannon's house, but she said they'll go look for her. So instead I asked Shannon to take her to the shelter and explain why she came back late. She gave me a long hug and told me to meet her at the tree at 6 in the morning. Then she left and I went inside with Stef. Stef said she want to talk to me. I know she's smart and a rebel at the same time so I don't know which side she might pick about me and her being friends.
"Power is said to be what makes people want to support you, but really a person that gets support without power will always go further in life."
We sat down in the couch and she told me not to get caught. I asked her why she didn't care. She told me she helped the kids too. She goes around and convinces people to want to adopt the kids. If she would do anything else Shannon would find out and she didn't want her to know. I told her I'll be fine. I did make it here from California.
"Expect the unexpected because if your expecting the unexpected. Then the expected will become the unexpected and make what was originally going to happen seem better."
I meet her after school to talk to her about what we're going to do. People know her around town so when she walks into a store they put there eyes on her. She honestly didn't have any plan for how we're going to do. I told her to walk in to a near by corner store and walk around for a minute. Then I walk in and ask them where something is, like napkins or something. When I do that she would quickly walk out the store and run. While they got people to go after her I would go and get what we needed. When they catch her she wouldn't have anything on her so she would say she had to go pee so she ran. I would later on catch up to her and help her share what we got with the other kids that where hungry. We where a great team. While walking away from the other kids we heard I siren behind us get closer then stop right next to us. They told us to stop where we were.
"Plans can go great, but after they go great is when you really have to worry."
