Chapter 15

We seen he had a k9 so we didn't bother to run. The cop walked up to us and told us to get in the car. I told him that we don't have to get in there unless we're under arrest. He showed me a piece a paper stating that this cop is able to pick me up. It was signed by Shannon. Since she's my guardian now I have to go. I told Iliana to keep going, but she said she wasn't going to leave me. So we both got into the cop car.

"Through better or worst real friends won't leave you."

We got in the cop car and just tried to figure out where we are going. The cop did some wierd turns and since I barely know this town I quickly ran out of ideas of where we were going. Iliana seem like she knew exactly where we're going. I thought about it all and realized where we're going too. The cop is taking us to Shannon's house.

"If cops put fear in the people they see. Then how scary are the people that control the cops?"

We finally arrived at the house. We got out and the cop gave me a letter to give to Shannon. So Iliana and I went inside. We seen Shannon, Stef, and another woman that I didn't know. Iliana told me the women was the one in charge of the foster care Iliana lives in. We both asked what's going on and they just told us to sit down. We sat down and had a long conversation that surprised both of us.

"Surprise after surprise. Does being apart of something, like a family, bring that?"

Iliana got adopted! No one seen this coming. After all the trouble she's caused around town, someone actually adopted her. We asked who it was, but they just said that Iliana had to go pack up her stuff. I would go help her, but Shannon said she needed me here. So Iliana went with the woman in charge. I hope I still get to see her. After all she's my only friend.

"Getting used to leaving is easier then getting used to someone leaving you."

Shannon told me to help clean up around the house. I was to sad to care why. We mainly cleaned the spare room next to mines. I barely went in there, unless I just wanted to think and them not be able to find me. Two hours passed after Iliana left. I knew I was never going to see her again. Shannon gave me as blindfold and told me to put it on. I put it on and they guided me all over the place. I lost tract to where I was at.

"People get lost easily if they lost the ability to see. Even though people born blind get anywhere."

We finally stopped and they told me to take off the blindfold. When I took it off I couldn't believe what I seen. Iliana was sitting there on the bed in the extra bedroom, with all her stuff on the side. I looked at Shannon and tried to ask what's going on, but I couldn't speak. Shannon and Stef both looked at me and told me they adopted Iliana. My only friend just became my sister.

"Has anyone ever thought about the biggest surprise someone can do to them? The answer is no. If it's a surprise you didn't see it coming. So no matter how hard you try. Every surprise you won't see. Otherwise it's not a surprise."
