i stride through corridors of granite grey
head held high
but mind low
a disastrous incident ahead of me
however the world closes its eyes and let's me walk right into the blue

a parasitic voice creeps inside my ear
like a haunting, crooked song
tainted fingers clutch my wrist
leaving burning red on my skin
pulling me in front of hell's furious gates

but

i open the door.
i step inside
i look the man in the eyes
i
haven't lost my pride.
not yet

the door closes,
the sound echoing, the bang shaking
my body shivering

his stare-
warm

i loose track of my thoughts because there are no thoughts, my mind is blank
everything it held swept away
by those eyes
leaving nothing but bewilderment

why is it him?
why is the room so warm, filled by comforting tones of gold?

"why are you here?"

i gulp down a lump of fear,
my head searching for an answer
should i even answer?
i decide to trust the warmth
and part my lips
my tongue starts to form words
and i answer

"because of men."
