"I can't believe you don't want to know the gender." Ginny chided Harry as she sat on the sofa and watched him gently press his ear to her rounded belly.

"I told you, I'm more interested in the house." Harry answered his wife as he pressed a loving kiss to her womb when he felt the life inside it move gently against his cheek.

"They won't be sorted for over a decade!" Ginny laughed.

"That's alright, it'll give me enough time to decide if I want them in Gryffindor or Slytherin." Harry replied.

"Well, Gryffindor, of course!" Ginny playfully scoffed.

"I dunno.....,,,Not all Slytherins are bad." Harry mused with a quiet smile as he thought of his father.

Ginny fell silent while she let her fingers slowly comb through Harry's dark hair.

"It won't be long now, love." Harry whispered when Ginny moved her back slightly and groaned at the weight that pressed against her spine.

"Can't come soon enough." Ginny replied with a tired smile as she blew out a breath.

She didn't understand how her mother had endured six pregnancies.

Ginny hadn't experienced any complications or abnormal obstacles, but regardless, during the previous months she had discovered that bringing a new life into the world was anything but easy.

Harry had been supportive at every available opportunity.

He came home with flowers for Ginny several times a week, he did all of the cooking and the cleaning, he saw that she got her rest and looked after herself.

The truth was that Harry had modeled his behavior as a father-to-be after Severus.

Harry held a great respect for the way he had watched Severus treat Lily when she had carried Zinnia.

Every day, Harry strove to be as kind and as devoted to his own wife.

Ginny was very appreciative of the lessons that Professor Snape had imparted on her husband and as her due date approached, she knew that their son or daughter would be as well.

Dear Mr. Severus Snape,

I hope you and your family are doing well. I am writing to formally invite you, your daughter, Zinnia Snape, and your wife, Lily Snape, to our humble home for dinner. I do hope that you will accept my invitation and reply to this letter with a date and time that is convenient for you and your family.

Sincerely,

Scorpius H. Malfoy

With care of,

Draco L. Malfoy

Scorpius had written the letter to Severus himself.

His father had approved the document and signed at the bottom so that the Snapes would know the Malfoy family recognized the potential event as legitimate.

Severus sat at the dining table the morning that letter arrived and scowled down at the parchment in his hands while Lily bustled around the kitchen, hurrying to serve breakfast so Severus could get to the office and start his day.

"I have never witnessed......such....... audacity." Severus hissed in a tone that was as hateful as it was angry.

Lily looked at her husband and replied as she sat his plate of eggs, bacon, and biscuits in front of him, "I think it was very respectful, Sev. He's quite brave for a boy in his first year.......to write a letter to the father of the girl he fancies, especially you."
