this story has such a big place in my heart. I began to write it based off my own experience with heartbreak, which then morphed into a safety net for me, a place to articulate some scary thoughts and feelings. In my last authors note, I mentioned having to have my own ending before I could get these words out, and that time came around a few months ago.
Coming back to this story recently felt so natural, like the ending was ready to come. I went back and read my initial ending chapters and how it was all based around how sometimes we just have to accept that things can't be fixed. It reminded me how therapeutic writing is.
