I went out of my car, carrying Herodion with me. Hawak ko sa kabilang kamay ang carrier niya para hindi ako mangalay sa pagbuhat sa kanya doon sa loob ng restaurant.
Sinalubong ako ni Russieus sa parking lot. Hindi ko na siya kailangan pang hanapin dahil sa tangkad niya ay mabilis siyang makita sa dagat ng mga tao. His disheveled curly hair caught my attention.
Matangkad si Russ. I think his height is six feet or probably taller than that. Of course, he's tall. He's a basketball player.
His eyes traveled to my whole body before he licked his lower lip.
"Ako na magbubuhat kay Hero.." Salubong niya. I nodded my head and carefully passed Nally's son to his uncle. Hero immediately stared at his uncle for a couple of seconds and raised his hands to play with Russ' face. I suppressed a laugh at the sight.
"Sorry. Kanina ka pa?" Tanong ko nang magsimula na kaming maglakad papasok sa restaurant.
He shook his head, "No. I just got here five minutes before you came."
Herodion is already five months old so I can take him outside. May pahintulot naman ako nina Nally at Ali kung sakali mang kailangan kong dalhin sa labas ang anak nila. Pinagpahinga ko kasi si Lara, ang nanny ni Hero.
I have always been fond of kids. I wanted to have kids but I can't bear a child without a partner. It kinda saddens me that I am almost thirty-one yet I still have no special someone to spend the rest of my life with.
I already want to conceive a child like my friends, too. But for now, taking care of their kids bring happiness and contentment within the depths of my soul and heart.
A lot of eyes were on us as soon as we stepped foot inside the restaurant. I looked at our reflection on the mirror and I somehow felt my stomach churn with the thought that we kind of looked like a family. If these people right here didn't know us both, they'd probably think we're some kind of a high-maintenanced or luxurious couple.
But we are not. We barely even know each other.
