Chapter 9

"yeah it was worth it"i said and grabbed the first aid in the bathroom mirror,"i felt miss jessels's presence earlier" he said with his deep voice,"yeah i saw her earlier and i tought you took care of her already"i said while fixing up my wound,"well i did kill her but i didn't know that her soul will warn people"i slammed my arm in the sink "fucking fix it quint,she can't ruin our plan"he nodded and faded away. I finished cleaning my wrist and head out the room, i went downstairs in the living room and saw flora and kate,"hey guys"i said and walked towards them,kate didn't say a word and just looked down at the ground,"hey y/n are you feeling okay?"she asked,"yeah i am fine why did you ask?"she shrugged her shoulder "i don't know i just wanted to know if you're okay"i playfully pinched her cheek "aw that's so sweet of you flor" i said and sat near kate at the couch,"hey kate why aren't you talking?"she gulped and slowly lifted her head,"well-uh-i"she stuttered,i leaned in her ear "i know what maria said to you,i have eyes and ears everywhere"i whispered,her eyes widend as she sat there trying to keep calm."well i should keep going now" i said and sat up,"take care of maria for me kate she's going to need it"i grinned and left the room.

I walked back to the room where mrs.grose prepared for me,i opened the door and walked towards the bed,i then laid there just staring at the ceiling,i sighed "mom,dad i miss you so much i wish you we're here with me"i mumbled,after looking at the ceiling my eyes became heavy,i could feel myself dozing off to dreamland. After blinking many times i gave up and just slept the whole evening.

I woke up and felt someone touched my cheek,i opened my eyes and saw miles caressing my cheek,i pulled away and looked him in the eye."what are you doing here?"i asked,"its just been days since i have an alone time with you and i just miss sleeping with you"he explained,i sat up and grabbed his hand "well maybe we could spend our time together later"i offered,his face lit up "that would be a good idea"he smiled widely,"i will arrange what we're going to do this afternoon"he added,i giggled "that would be great,you should get everything ready now"i said,"yeah youo're right i should go now"he said and was about to leave the room when he walked towards me and kissed my forehead,i smiled at his action and watched and he walked out my room. What a cute boy i thought to myself,i then sat up and walked towards the bathroom,i took a quick shower and got ready fore breakfast.

i got downstairs at the dinning table and sat next maria,i grabbed a plate full of pancake and started eating it."this is delicious"i complimented,mrs.grose gave me a sweet smile and continued eating,i looked around and saw kate not in her usual seat."where,s kate?"i asked,"she went to see grandma"maria answered,"oh"i said and ate my food once again. After finishing up i grabbed my plate and left it in the sink,i went to into the living room and sat in between flora and maria.

"hey flor want to come with me and miles this afternoon"

"where are you going?"

"well i don't know miles didn't say anything and just prepared everything"

i looked at the corner of my eyes and saw maria secretly eavesdropping,i grinned "yeah it will be very romantic,it's been a while since me and him had an alone time".

Maria looked intrigued on the conversation,i just smiled and let her listened,"hey maria i was wondering if you wanted to also come along"

"wha-no i'll just stay here in tha manor and do some-stuffs"

"oh okay"i said,i continued talking to flora.

I juat there listening to their conversation,maybe i should go i could stop them from being together,even after what she did many times to me i still think that i deserve him more than her,i was so lost in my toughts i didn't notice that miles had walked in the room,he sat in between me and y/n.

"hey miles are you done preparing for the afternoon?"y/n asked.

"that's a surprise for you to find out" he answered and bopped her nose,she then giggled at his action and playfuly hit his arm.

I rolled my eyes and continued reading my book,at the corner of my eyes i saw the same woman from yesterday,she was being dragged by an old man or as people call him 'quint',i sat up and walked towards them,but when i got closer and closer both of them faded in the dark.

"what are you doing maria?"i looked at them and saw all eyes we're on me,i ignored her question and looked back at the corner,there we're no sign of the two,i was skeptical about what happend but just shrugged it off,"i thought i saw something"i muttered,she nodded and kept talking to miles,i then sat back and grabbed the book that was besides the table,i got back to the page i was reading and saw a tiny paper,i looked around thinking that someone put that there,i took the not and opened it,'MEET ME UPSTAIRS,DOWN THE HALL'was written in the tiny paper,the word was written in red but i didn't think much about it,i then crumpled tha paper and put it in my pocket. I stood up from my seat and started to walk upstairs,i got to the last room down the hall,i had a bad feeling about the note but just shrugged it off,i reached for the door knob and was ready to open the door,i stopped as i heard a loud thud coming from the inside.

Muffled scream we're heard from the other side,i just stood there scared for what i was about to see,i exhaled and slowly turned the door knob,anticipation ran through my vein as the door slowly swung opened but to my surprise nothing or no one was there,just an empty room with a giant mirror on the side,i furrowed my eyebrow and walked towards the giant mirror,i saw a shadowy figure in the mirror but when i looked back there was no one there. I squint my eyes closer to the mirror,then out of nowhere the door closed,i widend my eyes and ran toward it. i loudly banged at the door,hoping for someone to open it. "somebody help me"i screamed,i started to pound the door loudly but it still won't budge.

After many tries of opening the door i gave up,my body slid down the door as tears ran down my cheeks"can someone please help me"i whisphered still out of breathe from yelling earlier. I sighed in defeat and shut my eyes thinking that it will open soon.
