Hadley's POV
I was still angry at Tyler for the fact that he didn't even care that I had been held captive by psycho vampire Alaric while he was busy packing up Klaus' house but I quickly reminded myself on him having to pretend to be sired so that Klaus didn't kill him but it still hurt.
I'd been let on to some new facts like Elena's life being tied to Alaric meaning that he only lived as long as she did and he was out to end all vampires which included my brother the moment he found Klaus which meant we were all now out to protect the villain that they'd all been trying to kill from a new villain that was once an ally...complicated right and I hated complicated and had always tried to avoid it but that was Mystic Falls, a town full of complications and a reason why I hated this godforsaken town.
"You seriously trust the Salvatore's with Klaus' body!" I exclaimed at Tyler over the phone since he'd just told me that they'd desiccated his body after they all failed to do it to Alaric since that had been the plan to rescue Elena last night...not a care that I'd been held captive.
Klaus had taken Elena after it was revealed her life was tied to Alaric and has been draining her of her blood so that he could make new hybrids and kill Elena thus killing Alaric all at the same time but Tyler and the Salvatore's teamed up and desiccated Klaus instead.
"Their taking him out of town and are going to drop his body in the ocean" I frowned since that was just horrible and I felt remorse for Klaus since he did save my life yesterday and had helped them in rescuing precious Elena...granted his reasons were a bit evil but the Salvatore's weren't saints themselves.
"That doesn't mean I trust them because all they truly care about is protecting Elena" I told him holding back my true frustration since all I cared about was Tyler since he was the one we knew for sure that Klaus' demise would kill since the others were still a mystery on who their sire line was even though Klaus claimed it was him.
"It doesn't matter if you trust them, they're already gone so we don't really have a choice" he replied and I sighed since he had a choice. "We have to protect Elena though since the other originals are still out there and they're all gunning for her head in order to stop Alaric"
"Your joking right?" I asked him as I headed out to my car.
"Nope" I groaned at his reply since I'm so over the words 'protect Elena' since in my mind she's brought this all on herself and it shouldn't be any of our jobs to protect her when all she did was whine but where Tyler went I did since I was not letting my little brother get killed over vampire crap.
"Fine, I'll meet you guys at Elena's" I told him before hanging up and got into my car driving over to the Gilbert house arriving at the same time they all did walking Elena into her own house like a bunch of body guards.
"Couch" Caroline told her.
"I'm fine, I just want something to eat first" Elena argued and I bit back a scoff.
"We're on it, as soon as we make sure no one's lurking in the closets" Tyler replied looking at me and Matt, I wanted to protest but rolled my eyes and went along with them anyway checking all the downstairs rooms but it was all clear.
"Doctor says rest, you rest" Caroline argued with more of Elena's protests as I went into the lounge room seeing her tucking a blanket over Elena's legs like a mother hen. "Now what can I get you, do you want some tea...maybe some vodka, both will help you sleep?" I sniggered at Caroline.
"I'll take some of that" I laughed sitting in the armchair across from them but the smile fell when Elena sighed heavily looking at Caroline.
"I know, I'm being smothering it's what I do" Caroline said sitting down and I frowned since she wasn't, Elena was just being ungrateful as usual when everyone bended the knee to her every whim and desire while we all suffered because of it.
