Hadley's POV
I walked around the house with absolutely nothing better to do and I was seriously going that stir crazy that I'd started going through whatever I'd find interesting and unfortunately Hayley was also snooping which meant I was stuck with her and she paid particular attention to anything we found that was Elijah's especially the journals that she stumbled upon but I wasn't concerned with personal thoughts so I moved on leaving her to read them by herself.
I looked out at the front yard seeing it empty of the bodies that had been pilled there, my mind flashing back to when I watched Klaus douse them in gasoline and set them alight with a determination before I slipped away unnoticed...I stopped turning my head when I heard voices coming from the other room...Klaus and Rebekah's to be precise.
"I cannot believe you disposed of those vampires without me, you know how much I love to set things on fire" I smirked to myself since Rebekah's attitude sometimes was hilarious and I inched closer so that I heard better.
"Was I supposed to leave them in the front yard to rot?" Klaus replied and I could picture the smirk on his face. "Besides they were my responsibility, they attacked the helpless pregnant girl who's carrying my child" I rolled my eyes since I was far from helpless.
"Oh I am so moved by your newfound sense of fatherly duty towards the werewolf carrying your hybrid bun in her oven" Rebekah replied and I shook my head before I saw Hayley walk past me into the room carrying Elijah's journal against her chest.
"One of the werewolves would like to know what the plan is?" she asked them and I sighed moving out from my hiding spot into their view.
"Well that depends on what plan you mean love?" Klaus asked her. "My plan for global domination..." I rolled my eyes at him. "...Or Rebekah's plan to find love in a cruel, cruel world" Rebekah let out a fake chuckle before picking up a wooden paintbrush from behind her and threw it towards Klaus who of course caught it.
"The plan to rescue Elijah" Hayley cut in. "You know the good brother, the one who is now in possession of your mortal enemy after you stabbed him in the back!" she glared towards Klaus.
"In the front if were being specific" he retaliated and I scoffed since did that really need clarification.
"You two said that you would get him back, so is there a plan or what?" I turned back to stare between Klaus and Rebekah since I was a little curious about that myself.
"Okay" Klaus finally sighed and moved towards the desk in the connecting room and sat down in the chair. "Well firstly, Marcel is not my mortal enemy he's my friend...albeit one who is unaware that I'm trying to sabotage his hold over the supernatural community of the French Quarter but a friend nonetheless and secondly, I daggered Elijah in order to gain Marcel's trust, if I had known he would place my brother in the hands of a particularly nasty teenaged witch, I certainly would have weighed my options a bit differently and thirdly, sister please-" he turned and looked at Rebekah.
"And thirdly, the plan as you have demanded is for Niklaus to simply ask Marcel for Elijah back" Rebekah finished and I could do nothing but stare at them.
"That's...that's not the whole plan, is it?" Hayley asked them sounding dumbfounded.
"Oh please, Klaus may be a miserable excuse for a sibling but there is none more diabolical" Rebekah argued and Klaus smirked taking pleasure in that statement.
"And that's only the Plan A love, there's always a Plan B"
"And what's Plan B?" I found myself asking him and his smirk just grew as he looked at me.
