DRAGONSTONE

"I..." she took a deep breath again and Jon was staring at her face. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. He hoped that is the moment. The moment when she finally confesses that pregnancy for him. It was hard for him to not mention it. To not talk about it. He knows he needs to give her time, but that drives him crazy. The fact that she doesn't want to tell him.
"You ... can tell me everything. You can be honest with me. Whatever it is." Jon told him so quietly and he was still holding her close. "We can... solve everything. Together." there was a small kind smile on his face.
"I love you" she swallowed a big one. "You ... you have to know that. And... I know my dream should not affect what we have. If ... " she was clearly embarrassed. "I know you are an honest man. A ... a man who is true to his words. A man... who would never ... breaks his words." she sighed. "You are not like everyone else Jon Snow." she smiled a bit. "Maybe that is why I am afraid that much that... my dream... if there is a small chance that it will come true... I..." she tried to explain her feelings.
"You don't have to." he placed his fingers to her chin and raised her head. Forced her to look at him. "I would never able to kill you and..." and my child - he thought that and it killed him inside that he couldn't tell it to her. "And... " he tried to continue. "And you are not your father. I believe in that. I believe in you."
"Just as I believe in you." she raised her hand, placed it to his beard, and caressed his face.
"Then tell me. Tell me what you feel. Tell me how can I help you to ... feel better. To trust me." he narrowed his eyes.
"It will be easier." she nodded a bit. "When... after we win the war. It will be easier for everyone. When... I have no doubts about myself. When I finally ... can calm down and let all those fears go away." she was not ready. No matter what she thought a second earlier. She was not ready to tell him. She worried about his reaction. Dany lowered her head.
"As you wish." Jon sighed and rolled his eyes and she escaped from his embrace. Stepped back to the table and looked around.

"You... brought food for an army." she smiled and glanced at him.
"I did not know... what you want to eat." he tried to remain calm.
"I... how are you feeling?" she desperately tried to change the topic. "I mean... the things about your father. My brother," she added quietly. "Ahm... it's a silly question." she realized quickly.
"No, it is not." Jon smiled and stepped closer to the table. Next to her. Put some food on a plate and sat down. Dany followed his moves and sat next to him. "It is still... " he started. "Quite unbelievable. I mean... it is not easy to process that my whole life was a lie, but... my father... ahm... Ned." he corrected himself. "probably had the reasons to do it in that way." he sighed.
"You can call him your father. Even if he is not your father by blood." Dany bit her lower lip. "I mean... he was the one who raised you up. He was the one who took care of you and... he treated you as his own son. To keep you safe" she smiled at him. "And..." she narrowed her eyes.
"What is it?" Jon frowned.
"I am sorry. About the things, I've said earlier about him. On the boat." Dany looked at him. "About he was not a good man. He probably was. He must be a good man if he took that risk to keep you safe. He ... took care of you. A Targaryen boy. No matter how dangerous it was for him. Probably you were right... when you've told me it was not him who sent ... soldiers after me. To kill me." she admitted. "In that way... it would not make any sense." she sighed.
"I didn't even think about that," Jon nodded and smiled at her.
"I am sorry I couldn't get to know him," Dany added and her hand was resting on the table. Jon slowly placed his hand on hers and took it.
"Some says... I am more like him than any of his own sons." Jon shrugged.
"Then I probably would have liked him." she turned to him again and their eyes locked for a moment.
"I am sure... that feeling would have been mutual." he was caressing her hand with his fingers. "He would have given us his blessings I ... I know that," he added and he lost in her emerald eyes. She was the woman he loved. He did not care who he is or who she is. First, in his life, he wanted to be selfish. He wanted to put love over duty because that was the right thing. He fought, he almost died... He died for the realm, for the people. Yet he is here, and now he only wanted one thing. That woman. The family that woman is going to give him. He fought enough, he cared about anything and anyone else enough.
