NEAR TO KING'S LANDING

Jon did not sleep well. He had a horrible nightmare. That dream... may have been caused by painkillers. He had no idea. There was fire everywhere, and he was sitting on Rhaegals back. Looking down to the flames that covered the whole city. But not King's Landing. No. Those flames in his dream ... were spreading around Winterfell. When Rhaegal breathed fire again around the streets he suddenly woke up and he barely could breathe. He was panting, and he felt how his chest hurts, not to mention his ribs. He tried to normalize his breathing, and some seconds passed when he realized that he is alone. He looked around in the tent but there were no signs of Daenerys. "Dany?" he looked to the other side but the tent was empty. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and turned to the edge of the bed. He closed his eyes for one more minute and tried to calm himself down. He did not even confess to himself how those events wore him. He did not have time to really think through that. He was the main reason why King's Landing burned down to ashes. Not Daenerys. Not Drogon. He. Maybe he should have not ridden a dragon ever. Maybe he was not ready for that. Even if that was an accident... this cannot be an excuse. It was not an excuse for the innocents who died there in the flames. He raised his eyes to the ceilings. At least he could save Daenerys from herself. He stood up slowly and straightened himself. He felt better. A bit, but his mind was still racing. The war is over but hard days, months... even years are ahead of them. He knew she meant it. She wants to create a better world for the people. He took some steps towards the exit of the tent. He remembered her words about Winterfell. She was so right about that. The North... is not ready to prosper alone. The North needs support and goods from the Seven Kingdoms. Even if his sister doesn't like the fact. At the moment he wanted to leave the tent he found himself face to face with Ser Jorah.
"You look better than yesterday." Jorah smiled at him.
"Yeah." Jon was clearly surprised and did not expect him. "Ahm..."
"I just ... I did not want to disturb you ... I just we should go to the capital. Or at least what's left of it." Jorah lowered his head. "The people of King's Landing probably want to see the conqueror," he added and smiled. He had no idea his words just make the situation worse for Jon. "If you ... when you are ready just..."
"Daenerys is not here." Jon sighed and raised his eyes at Jorah. "She must be out there somewhere in the camp. I just... wanted to find her." he spread his arms.
"I haven't seen her anywhere." Jorah immediately answered and suddenly they both started to worry a bit. Jorah turned to leave the tent and Jon followed him as quickly as he could. They looked around but Jon stopped and stared at the edge of the forest. The place where he found her a day earlier. He saw from the corner of his eyes how Jorah literally stormed through the camp to find her. While he was walking closer another surprise happened. He bumped into Gendry who just stepped out of another tent.

"Jon?" his eyes rounded. "Ahm... I thought... I ... how are you?" he blurted nervously.
"Have you seen Daenerys?" Jon was so serious.
"No... I was..." Gendry turned back and forth but he was clearly embarrassed. "I just... ahm..."
"Did you say something?" suddenly Arya appeared behind Gendry. She came out from the same tent but she did not expect her brother to be there. "Jon!" the words stuck on her throat.
"What..." Jon narrowed his eyes but he had no idea what to say. "What..."
"No one saw her." Jorah disturbed their uncomfortable moment.
"What happened?" Arya looked at Jon then at Jorah.
"If... "Jon tried to think but the situation between his sister and Gendry just confused him more. "If Drogon is not here." he cleared his throat.
"Do you think she left?" Jorah asked him.
"She wanted to find Rhaegal. She wanted to be sure that he is alright." he swallowed and tried to think. "Ahm... but what did you do in this tent together?" Jon turned back to his sister and Gendry.
"I don't think that is the most important question now." Arya cleared her throat. "She... what if she is in trouble." she blurted.
"We won the war." Jon sighed. "Daenerys is fine. I know that. She'll be back soon." he was calm and that surprised everyone. Usually, he was the one who worried the most about her. "We... defeated the enemies. She is not in danger." he cleared his throat and walked further from them.
"Jon!" Jorah hurried after him. "Are you sure you don't want to go after her?"
"To where?" Jon spread his arms and asked him. "Do we even know where is she? Maybe... I repeat maybe at Dragonstone. But if you hadn't noticed we don't have any dragon to go after her. So we should just stay here and ... let her do whatever she thinks is right." he rolled his eyes and lowered his head.
"I couldn't get used to it either. To her stubbornness." Jorah nodded and remained calm. "It ... she was never easy to handle," he admitted with a smile. "But as I know... she is not that different from... you." he raised his eyes at Jon and he finally looked at him too.
"Send some soldiers to Dragonstone. Just to be sure she is there or ... was." he gave a command to his old friend. "And another team to King's Landing. To help... if ... I am sure there are some who need help there." he added and looked around again. His eyes stopped on Gendry and Arya who were chatting in front of the tent, but Arya kept her distance from the young Baratheon Lord.
"I wanted to inform her." Jorah's words brought his thoughts back. "That... Grey Worm is... has not returned yet." he looked a bit worried and at that moment Jon also started to worry.
