WINTERFELL
The northerners were loud. Brittle and hostile. They were staring at them ... the foreign Queen with silver-blonde hair, and the dark-skinned ones around her. Not to mention the Lannister dwarf and the eunuch. They were different than them. They were... they do not belong to them. Jon nodded towards her to sit next to him, she let out a tiny smile towards him. She was listening. In silence. All the things that Sansa, the little girl who wore the name Mormont, and Jon talked about. She was too puzzled, too disturbed.. too worried to say anything. When Jon stood up and stood by her she smiled a bit. After he took his seat again, she placed her arms closer to his and their fingers met. She felt how he was caressing her fingers, but barely noticeable.
"What do the dragons eat, anyway?" Sansa frowned, and Jon squeezed the armrest with his hand.
"Whatever they want." Dany turned to the red-haired Stark woman then she stood up and looked around.
"My Queen." Tyrion wanted to hold her back but she did not pay any attention to him. She looked around. She can't let everything goes in the way she dreamed, and everything that happened already started to scare her. Everything was so similar. She glanced at Jon and knew she is going to lose him. He can't handle the truth. She knew he can't."I am here to save the living. I came here to save the North because I saw what is coming for us with my own eyes. Jon Snow never wanted to bend the knee. He only did that after he almost died beyond the wall, but I saved him. I saved his life, risking my own life. Risking my dragon's life, losing one of my dragons, because I couldn't let Jon Snow die." she raised her voice. "I can choose to leave. I can choose to let the North deal with this threat alone. I can leave even today with my dragons and let you die." she frowned. "I can face the enemy further south, but if I am going to choose that ... you're all going to die." she looked around. "Before you condemn the Warden of the North why he did what he did, you should look further than your noses. You should see that man only wants to keep you alive. No matter the price of it." she thought back to her dream again and lowered her head. "You have time until dawn," she added. "If you can deal with the army of the dead alone, I leave and continue my war against Cercei Lannister. And you'll have the free and independent North... "she took a break then continued "ruled by the Night King." she turned away and started to walk out of the room. Grey Worm and Missandei immediately followed her, meanwhile, Tyrion needed some seconds to realize what happened. She stopped and turned back to the ones at the table. "And the Lannister army... are not coming. Only one of them. Your sister betrayed us. Again." she could kill Tyrion with her eyes, but then her eyes met with Bran's and she took some deep breaths, but she felt that pressure on her chest. She needed to leave that room. She needed to disappear from their sight.
Jon glanced at his sister.
"I hope you are satisfied." he pushed himself back from the table and stormed out of the huge hall. Everyone remained in silence and they were looking at Sansa. She had no idea what to say.
"We have to... " Sansa cleared her throat "think through our options, and ... get ready for the war." she stood up and apparently embarrassed. She tried to hurry out of the huge room as soon as she could.Jon looked around but Daenerys disappeared from his sight. He should have said something. He should have supported her. She was defending him with all her words, and he can't let her leave. That was not an option. He knew they are going to lose this war if he let her leave.
"She knows the future." Bran stopped next to his brother in his wheelchair. Jon turned to him, but he was not sure what he was talking about. "She knows everything."
"What?" Jon narrowed his eyes.
"The future. You have a role. Her future depends on you." Bran added but he did not look at Jon. He was staring at the gates. "You are the only one who can change it."
"I am not sure I understand." Jon shook his head.
"You will. Soon."
"You changed a lot, little brother." Jon tried to start a normal conversation.
"I am not him anymore. I am not Brandon Stark," he answered quietly and rolled away. Jon was just standing there and followed him with his eyes. He doesn't understand anything. He doesn't understand what he was talking about. Maybe they really have a chance for a future? A future together? With... with children? Is that possible? But if that is possible, he... no.. he was in love with her. He wanted to imagine his future with her, but he never wanted to be a King. Meanwhile, he knows that Daenerys Targaryen would never resign the Iron Throne. She fought for that throne her whole life. Future. He repeated that word in his mind. Can they have any future at all? Is there any chance for them to win that war against the army of the dead and the Night King? He was sinking in his thoughts and walked to the Weirdwood tree. He did not even notice when Arya appeared behind him...
