SOMEWHERE IN THE NORTH

"I am not sure I understand you." Jon was scanning her face. "What do you wanna say?"
"I... You..." Dany tried. She wanted to tell him, she wanted to say it aloud, but that sounded so nonsense in her mind, not to mention the consequences if he got to know that. He is going to push her away. He can't love her anymore. She was not ready. She was not ready to lose him, not sooner than she had to. They still had some hours together, before Sam tells him. She wanted those hours. Maybe she was selfish. She knew that, but she loved him. "Just kiss me, Jon. Please." she sounded so begging, and she was trying to press her lips to his.
"Did you say those things because of you... imagine your future with me? The reign? And you are afraid that ... they accept me more because I am a man right?" he tried to find meaning to her words.
"You want this? Do you want a future with me?" she knew his opinion is going to change soon, but she needed to hear that. She wanted to know, that he loves her just as much as she loves him.
"Isn't it obvious?" Jon smiled a bit. "What do you think why I went to your room that night? On that boat?" Jon caressed her face.
"Because we are both young and... there was some attraction between us and..." Dany swallowed.

"You don't know something important about me" he lowered his head and took her hands. "I only slept with one woman in my life. Before you. I had chances. My brothers... loved brothels and ... girls loved them too. Even me. I would have had many opportunities. To bring different women to my bed. Once... I almost did. We were there, in her room, and... she was lying there naked." he wanted to be honest with her. "But I couldn't do it. Because... of the consequences. I mean... I am a bastard and I know that life is not good. Not for anyone. And I was still lucky because my father loved me, but... I did not belong to the Starks. They tolerated me and accept me because their father wanted it, but ... I felt every day I am not one of them." he sighed. "I did not want that. To happen again." he almost stuttered. "I did not want this life to a child. To my child."
"You did not have to worry about this with me. I can't have children." Dany drew the conclusion.
"I already mention I don't believe that witch was right." he raised his eyes at her and staring at her face. "I went to your room that night, because ... I hoped that you feel the same for me. I hoped... that there is a chance that that unique woman, the dragon queen ... loves me, just as much as I love her." he smiled a bit again.
"You were not wrong." she barely could form those words.
"But I never wanted to rule Dany." he raised his eyes to the air, then looked down at her again. "I ... know if I ... want my future with you... no. If you even think about having a future with me that means... ahm..." he lowered his head again.
"That means you have to be a King on my side." she finished his sentence.
"But I don't want it. I ... I want you. That is all. I ... as I said... I was in love once in my life before you, but that was not even close to this feeling." he was caressing her hands with his fingers. "You are the first woman whom I can imagine my future with. Of course, that is not my decision. Only yours." Jon took a deep breath.
"If you still think that... after we won that war... you should just... ask the question." Daenerys shrugged and smiled at him. "You don't have to worry about the answer," she added, and she already knew he's never going to ask it, but at least she knew, he was really in love with her. His true origin was the only reason ... why he left her alone in her dream. Nothing else.
"Ahm... come with me." he took a step next to her and pulled her with himself.
"To where?" she giggled a bit, but followed him, and he was directing her towards the waterfalls. "Jon?" she needed to hurry her legs to keep pace. "Where are we going?" she asked him again, but he did not say a word, he just stopped next to that amazing mass of water, that falls down from the mountain.
"Here," he snuggled against the wall and walked slowly behind the waterfall. Dany hesitated for a moment, but then she followed him and she found herself in a cave. A huge and warm cave.

Jon walked forward and looked around.
"I spent quite a lot of time here when I was a child." he smiled and kept his eyes on the top of the cave. "Nothing really changed here."
"Isn't that a bit too far from ... your home?" Dany narrowed her eyes.
"Oh, it is." Jon laughed a bit. "Especially when the horses leave you here. My father punished me many times because he thought I wanted to escape. One day he followed me, but I did not know it, and he realized I am just... different." he shrugged.
"You are," Dany whispered her answer.
"The dragons won't leave us here, right?" he glanced at her.
"Drogon would never leave me behind. Not when I need him. We'll be back soon anyway." Dany looked around.
"If soon means hours" Jon turned to her and grabbed her by her waist. Pulled her close to his body. She couldn't answer. He did not let her. He pressed his lips to her lips. Passionately and full of love. He wanted her to know. He wanted her to feel how much he loves her, and that was better in this way. Away from Winterfell, where they can be alone. Together.
