Chapter II

In the Snow Flick packhouse, a young man woke up excited for a new day. He went down after doing his morning routine and immediately smelled the delicious pancakes. He went into the kitchen with a smile to see his mother making breakfast. Without making a sound he tried to reach for a pancake only to have his hand slapped away by his mother.

Jungkook: Ow. Eomma that hurt.

Mrs. Jeon: Serves you right. This is for breakfast. You can have it when everyone else does.

Jungkook: But I only wanted a small piece. (Looking at his mom with puppy eyes)

Mrs. Jeon: Look at you. No one would believe that you are the Pack leader of the Snow Flick pack.

Jungkook: Eomma-

Jimin: Good morning lovely people. Ohh what's happening here. Our brave and smart pack leader is begging his mom to have a taste of her heavenly pancakes. What a rare sight to see.

Jungkook: Oh come on Jiminie hyung. You too? Just because I am now the head alpha doesn't mean that I've changed.

Jimin: Oh I'm sorry Kookie. Eomma, your son might start crying soon if you don't give him a pancake.

Jimin and Mrs. Jeon burst out laughing. Jungkook just pouts.

Jungkook: I'm leaving. You can eat all the pancakes by yourself.

Mrs. Jeon and Jimin: Aye aye sir.

Jungkook leaves and Mrs. Jeon turns to Jimin.

Mrs. Jeon: Jimin, you're so early today. Is something the matter?

Jimin: Yes Eomma, for a lesson at school I wanted blood rose. But I don't know where to find it. That is why I needed your help.

Mrs. Jeon: So that's the matter. Although blood roses are hard to find, they can be seen in the forest around us. But you'll need an Alpha to accompany you as you may not be able to pick up its scent. You can ask your mate to accompany you.

Jimin: Oh okay. I'll ask Yoongi Hyung then. Oh, wait. Oh...

Mrs. Jeon: What's the matter Jiminie?

Jimin: Yoongi hyung has gone to Woodwind pack for something related to work. He'll only return tomorrow evening. But the lesson is tomorrow in the morning. What to do?

Mrs. Jeon: It's okay Jimin. You could ask Jungkook to accompany you. Usually, he goes for a run in the forest around this time. You could just go with him. If you rush, you might be able to catch up with him.

Jimin: Okay then Eomma. I'll get going now. Bye.

Mrs. Jeon: Bye-bye.

On his way out of the packhouse, he mindlinks to Jungkook.

Jimin: Kookie.

Jungkook: Yes hyung?

Jimin: Have you gone for your usual run in the forest?

Jungkook: Not yet hyung, I was about to go.

Jimin: Okay then wait for me. I want to come with you too. I'll tell you why once I reach.

Jungkook: Ok hyung.

Jimin catches up with Jungkook and explains why he needs to go to the forest and Jungkook agrees to help him. They shifted into their wolf form and started searching for the blood rose. On reaching near the pack borders, Jk finds the blood rose and Jimin turns back and goes to pick it up. 

Jk walks nearer to the pack border when he smells a faint scent which gives him a euphoric feeling. He was trying to look for the source when he spotted a man sitting by the river on the other pack's land, but he couldn't see his face. He was about to step closer to look at the man when his father mindlinked him to come back to the packhouse with Jimin to discuss an important matter. He takes one last glance at the man and turns around and runs back towards the packhouse mindlinking Jimin to come back too.

On reaching near the clearing he shifted back to his human self and walked towards the office near the packhouse. He entered the meeting room to see all the significant people of their pack already waiting for him. They all rose from their seats when he came in. 

Apart from his parents, Jung Hoseok, the Beta of the pack, Park Chanyeol, the Head of the team of officials, Lalisa Manoban, the military general, Park Chaeyoung, the head doctor at the pack hospital and Kim Jongin, the trainer in shifting and fighting at the pack school. The only people missing were the mates Min Yoongi and Park Jimin. Yoongi had gone to Woodwind pack with work while Jimin was on his way to the meeting. Jungkook sat down at the head of the table and motioned everyone else to sit down as well. Soon Jimin arrived and the meeting began.

Mr. Jeon: Son, the objective for holding this meeting is to decide on the matter of allowing students from other packs to come here to get educated at our school.

Jungkook: Yes. And?

Hoseok: And we wanted to ask you about the boarding and academic arrangements for the students.

Jungkook: We could build a hostel in the free land behind the training grounds. It would take only a five-minute walk from the school which will be of convenience for the students. The boarding can be of sixty rooms such that each room can accommodate four students. Thus, in total 240 students can stay in the hostel. Each room must have four bunk beds and a bathroom and a big central study table that can be used by all four students at the same time.

Chanyeol: And about the academic sessions?

Jungkook: We'll add an extra section to each grade but not separately for the other students. All students will be merged so that they can mingle with each other. We'll add one more hour of classes so that teachers can have free time as well.

Jimin: Ok but we do need a new Human studies instructor. The previous instructor Minseok has left for the Blood Moon pack with his mate. About twelve people have applied for the position.

Jungkook: You can conduct the interviews and narrow them down to three. I'll select the one from them.

Jimin: Alright Jungkook.

Lisa: Alpha, the regular emergency drills conducted for the pack soldiers are due this Monday.

Jungkook: Okay. I'll be there.

A knock sounds on the door.

Jungkook: Come in.
