November 2005
A week laterDressed in her own casual clothes, (Y/N) left her home, got on her bike, and drove to Shibuya crossing. Where all the shops and malls were. Her objective for the day, was to get a birthday present for a special someone.
Emma's birthday is coming up. So she wanted to get something special for the girl, as she knew her the longest and was technically, her first girl friend. She knew that Emma has excellent taste in fashion, so maybe she's gonna go with clothes or accessories.
She shortly arrived to the center of the city and parked her motorbike. (Y/N) strolled through all different kinds of stores, but none seem to catch her eye or sparked interest in her to be bought as Emma's present.
For what felt like hours of searching, the girl sighed in defeat and slumped her shoulders.
'Man, it's hard finding a present.' She plopped herself on a vacant bench and threw her head back for a quick shut eye. That is, until she heard heavy footsteps approaching her and their figure shielded her from the sun.
"Hey." They said.
(Y/N) opened her eyes lazily and looked at the figure above her staring at her down with a smile.
"Hey, Draken." She said and straightened her back.
"What're you doing here? It's been awhile I've seen you since Bloody Halloween." He stated and sat down next to her.
"I'm here for a crisis. You gotta help me here, Drakennn." She dragged the 'n' in his name and lazily threw herself on the blonde's back.
"What's your deal?" He asked.
"Emma-chan's birthday is coming, and I don't know what to get her." She muffled through Draken's cardigan.
"Wait," She lifts her head from his arm, "Why are you here?"
"I'm here for the same reason. I'm gonna get Emma's present at the arcade." He sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck and averted his gaze from the girl.
"The arcade? Why there?" She raised her eyebrow.
"There's this bear she's been wanting for awhile now. So I'm gonna get her that."
Draken still hasn't looked at the girl next to him, but he sweatdropped when he could feel her teasing gaze burning at the back of his head."Oh~? That's so sweet of you, Ken-bou~!" She wiggled her eyebrows and irked him more by using his nickname given to him by the brothel.
"Shut up!" Draken wrapped his arm around her head and gave her a noogie.
"Ow, ow, ow! Okay! Don't ruin my hair, damn it!" She pushed him away and grumbled under her breath while fixing her hair, while Draken chuckled at her pouting face.
They both basked in silence before Draken asked her, "How've you been?" He spoke, more quiet than before.
(Y/N) looked down and a sad smile plastered on her face, "Better now, at least. Can't keep mourning forever now can I?" She tried to lighten the mood between them.
"Your eye?"
She glanced at him and smiled, "You've seen it yourself, right? I can still see with this eye, but the scar will be there." She pointed to her now healed scar.
Draken glanced at the scar that ran from her forehead, past her left eye, and stopped on her cheek. He stretched out his hand and softly caressed the scar on her cheek. Draken sighed and retracted his hand.
"I can't believe he would do that to you." He said.
"I don't blame him, to be honest. Tora-kun was just hurting that's all. I can't wait to see him again." She smiled softly as she thought about the boy.
