Kitty's Cradle (Ch 10)

"Time to find a place to stay the night!!"

The real question is...are there even inns we can stay at!? I rather not sleep on the floor for the fact I left my sleeping bag on my bed...

"Hey Natsu, is there even a place we can stay? I don't have a sleeping bag and I doubt you would want to share one." We may be friends and all but I don't think Natsu would share a sleeping bag with just anyone that asked. Right?

"Actually I wouldn't mind at all."

Oh dear...Did anyone ever teach him that saying things like that to girls might give them the wrong impression?

I grabbed his face and brought it mere inches away from mine. Im guessing it really surprised him because he turned a soft red. This whole time I've never seen him get embarrassed, not even slightly.

"Juvia? What are yo-" I cut him off, "Natsu I don't know if anyone has ever told you but you shouldn't go around saying things like that to other people! It might give them the wrong idea. Consider this a warning and refrain from doing so in the future. Okay?" He simply nodded and I let go of him.

I continued walking and then did everything I had just did hit. Why did I even to that?!

Well there's nothing we can do now except move forward. Nonetheless I turned a little pink but continued on the road in hopes Natsu wouldn't see my face.

"We've been walking around for like 10 minutes and none of these places look like inns?" At this point it was getting somewhat annoying. "Let's go ask some people around" Natsu had suggested. "Lead the way, I'll just end up getting us lost." I sighed.

Luckily for us, there was what seemed to be a mother and a child picking flowers near a garden. "Natsu over there, let's go ask them." We walked up to the two and asked if there is any kind of inn around.

"Oh but if course, I can write down the directions if you would like!" The young lady smiled softly. "Thank God, I was worried we were going to be sleeping on the floor tonight!" I returned the smile.

The lady wrote down the directions on a piece of paper and wished us well on our journey. Now we finally have some idea on where we shall rest!

After about another 5 minutes of walking we had finally made it to what seemed to be called Kitty's Cradle. Immediately I opened the door and walked inside. I was met with a middle aged lady who had a smile on her face.

"Why hello there! How may I be of assistance?" She greeted me with a warm smile. "How much would two rooms be?" I asked quickly. "Unfortunately all except one room had been booked for the night. But the room has two beds!"

"NO WA-" Natsu quickly put his hand over my mouth. "Please don't mind her! We will gladly take the room!" WHAT?! Surely there must be another option!

"Here is your room key card! Please handle it with care, if the card gets damaged we will charge you double! Please enjoy your time at Kitty's Cradle!"

I was originally going to argue with Natsu about the room arrangements but honestly I'm too exhausted. Natsu opened the room door and we were met with two beds a small kitchen and bathroom.

The beds were next to each over but there was plenty of space between the two. So no need to complain for the mean time.

We each put our bags on our own beds and Natsu immediately jumped on his bed. "Hold your horses, go ahead and shower first. Going to bed dirty doesn't sound very nice!"

"But I don't want tooo... I want to sleep already!" Natsu continued to bury his head in his pillow. I couldn't help but giggle. "That was so cute Nats-" He looked at me. Then it hit me.

Darn it! I had done it again! Me and my big mouth. This time I wasn't in the mood to correct myself. "Im going to shower and afterwards you are as well whether you want to or not." I quickly entered the bathroom.

About 20 minutes later I finally stepped out in comfy clothes and ready to head to bed. But first... "Natsu it's your turn!" I walked up to him. "Ughh I'm going I'm going." Defeated, he walked towards and bathroom and closed the door.

"Let's read a little before sleeping." Normally reading helps relax my mind and overall helps me get a better nights rest. After everything that has happened today I could really use it.

Three chapters later I hear the restroom door open. "Jesus Natsu why did you take so lon...." There was Natsu. Water dripping down his toned muscles, wet hair, only wearing a towel, and looking right at me.

I couldn't help but stare, I wanted to tear my eyes away but I just couldn't. I never realized how attractive he was. Especially those eyes of his. He could step on me and I would thank him. Wait what the hell am I thinking???

"You just going to stare?" Natsu smirked noticing I was staring. Snapping out of my thoughts I replied. "HA! In your dreams!"

"Looks like your eyes and words tell different stories huh?" He continued to tease me. "Goodnight!!!" I quickly turned and got under the covers.

"Hahaha! Goodnight Juvia. Sweet dreams."

"Same to you."
