" Sofia she'll be fine " Shawn assured me driving as fast as he can.
He stopped the car in front of my house and I rushed inside.
" Mom " I shouted and ran towards her. Stephen held her hairs tightly into his hands and was dragging her to the living room.
" Stephen stop " I pushed him away and he walked aggressively to hit me.
" Shawn " I screamed and Shawn stopped Stephen from hitting me. Shawn stood there holding Stephen's hand tightly from hitting me.
" Shawn I don't want to drag you in our thing just leave my hand " Stephen yelled at Shawn and Shawn looked at me.
I told him to leave Stephen's hand with my eyes and Stephen ran towards my mom but this time Shawn came in between and pushed him back.
" Sir just stop you're hurting her " Shawn shouted still trying to hold Stephen back.
" She deserves it , this bitch " Stephen yelled and moved away from us.
" Are you fine ? " Shawn asked my mom and she nodded.
" I'll just talk to him " Shawn said and walked away to Stephen.
" Sofia you were right we should run from here no one is ours " my mom said holding my arms tightly.
" Mom what about me I'm married now " I questioned back looking at where Shawn was.
" It's not a marriage it was just an agreement that Stephen made for his business and now I don't care for his business , I can't take this anymore , help me Sofia " she cried and fell down to my knees.
" Mom , don't cry we'll figure out something " I said sitting down with her.
" What's this on your face " My mom questioned looking at my cheek.
" Who did this ?" She questioned again worried.
" Mom it's nothing " i said cupping her face and she stood up.
" I knew he's going to be like Stephan I told you " she shouted and Shawn ran to us.
" Mom it's just -
" Shawn , you did this , didn't you ?" My mom asked Shawn pointing towards the mark of his fingers on my face.
" Just answer me " she shouted again on Shawn and he nodded.
" I knew it, I told you Sofia , I told you about him , I knew he's just like all other mens out there " my mom said walking towards me and Shawn walked towards me too.
" Stay away from my daughter " my mom told Shawn.
" Mom " I shouted.
" But she's also my wife " Shawn answered calmly.
" No , she doesn't love you , just go away , away from our lives we want to live alone peacefully" my mom shouted
" Mom he's my husband you can't just say -
" He's not your husband Sofia he's just using you for his pleasure , Stephen just sold you to him why don't you understand " she shouted.
" Mom you're hurt right now you should rest , okay , you'll be fine mom , we'll be fine I promise " I said gently holding her hand.
" Stay away from him he's gonna hurt you and beat you just like Stephan did with me , I love you Sofia just come with me, we'll run away " she said
" Mom we'll talk about it later okay you need to rest " I replied
" No Sofia try to understand me , Sofia you never wanted this you always wanted us to be together you wanted to be independent you wanted to ran away from here always , let's just do what you wanted , I can't see you hurt , I can't see you like me " she said and I looked over to Shawn who was totally confused.
" Mom come you need to rest " I said taking her to her room.

SHAWN'S POV
I thought everything is fine with Sofia's parents but the way she was crying made me realize how hard it would have been for her to see all these things happening with her mom in front of her eyes.
I never wanted to hurt Sofia and I still regret what I did I'll regret it for my whole life I'll regret to raise my hand at her.
She looks so worried right now and I will do anything to see her smile again , I tried to reassure her and I drove as fast as I could.
She ran inside her house leaving me in the car and I rushed  behind her.
I ran inside the house and I saw Stephen moving aggressively towards Sofia to hit her and she called my name. I ran to stop him and I held his hands into mine.
Stephen told me to stay out of everything but I can't just let him hit Maria. I've never seen anything like this before , I imagine how difficult it is for a women to live with a man like him. I'll never be like him I'll kill myself before doing anything bad to Sofia.
Stephen walked out and I followed him outside to talk to him.
" You can't just do that you can't just hit your wife " I shouted walking towards Stephen.
" I'm not a man who'll take a woman's shit , maybe you are " he tonted me.
" If you both don't agree on something just sit and figure it out , fighting and hitting eachother will never help you " I tried to explain him and then I heard Maria shouting.
I ran inside to see what's wrong.
" Shawn you did this , didn't you " Maria questioned me pointing at the mark of my fingers on Sofia's cheek.
" Just answer me " she shouted and I nodded with guilt filled in my eyes.
She then shouted on Sofia and I walked closer to her.
" Stay away from my daughter " she shouted again and Sofia shouted on her telling her to stop.
" But she's also my wife " I replied politely not making things worse.
" No she doesn't love you " she shouted and Sofia shouted too. They both continued to talk nonsense about our marriage and our relationship. I stood there quite not wanting to get in between a mother's and a daughter's fight.
I knew what all they were talking about and now I had many questions for Sofia too.
After they fought for good 5 minutes Sofia took her mom inside the room , she came out and ignored me completely.
She walked ahead to the car and I followed her.
