CASSIES POV-

🟢C_RICHMOND:
put on a dress i'll be there at 9, make sure its short

classic connor. he was always trying to pick me up at stupid times. I knew that dean wouldn't let me out at this time, partly because of the time of night and partly because he didn't like connor. it was only recently that dean had told me he didn't want me going out at night anymore, and now i was going to do it again. dean had always been overprotective of me my entire life. he knew how boys could be, especially the ones that i hung out with.

sighing, I flopped onto my bed and checked the time.

after showering I dried my hair, did my makeup and slipped on a blue bodycon dress.

unlike most days today I just felt tired. I had been going out every single night with connor and his mates and it was starting to show. the bags under my eyes hung lower than usual, even through my makeup, and i just looked worn and exhausted.

the saddest thing is we wouldn't even usually do anything of interest when we went out, well, not to my interest anyway. we'd just drive around the town of north shields, or up to tynemouth. the boys would blast music with the windows rolled down, shouting at people as we drove by. i'd sit in the passenger with connors mates in the back, and as soon as he'd get out the car they'd either try it on with me or ask me disgusting questions about mine and connors sex life. fun, i know.

at this point i was longing for change. i was bored of going out with connor and his freak mates every night just to do the same shit.

20:55

shit. grabbing my bag, throwing in my phone, lipgloss and some other essentials, i tiptoed out my room, pulling the door shut quietly in hopes dean wouldn't hear.

i could hear him, dru, joe and sam playing downstairs in the basement. unfortunately, our house was the house for practice, the boys were always over at ours in the evenings, the music was good though i must admit so i couldn't really complain.

quietly, i crept round the upstairs hallway, treading down the stairs even quieter, minding the spots on the stairs that would squeak when stepped on. from the bottom of the stairs, i could see directly down the basement stairway.
although the door was open i couldn't see much, just about half a drum set and what looked like dru's arm and leg. instead of leaving then, i stayed and watched.

me and dean had known joe, dru and sam since we were children, we all went to the same school and since then the boys had been inseparable. and i guess i kind of just tagged along.
whilst i was at school i had quite a lot of friends, however i always loved being around my brother more. i was definitely happy, but since then i had been with connor.
i felt like i'd been dumbed down, maybe become a bit of a doormat, a convenience for him more than an actual pleasure.

sure, he'd tell me he loved me, but dosent every boy?
his love was in his words and barely ever in his actions.

"hello there" a deep geordie voice shook me from my thoughts.

sam.

"fuck, hi" i panicked, placing my arm on the banister awkwardly.

he was in a pair of black jeans, an oversized blue denim jacket, draping over a white t shirt with his blonde messy hair covering his forehead. certainly not an awful sight.

"off somewhere are we?" his blue eyes staring through mine, making mine widen, his confidence was certainly throwing me off.

"er, erm," i stammered, shifting my glances around the room, anywhere but his eyes, "no of course not i was just erm, going to make some toast" i smiled convincingly, gesturing towards the kitchen.

"that dressed up for some toast? cass you know you shouldn't but i shan't tell your brother."

the way he says cass makes me melt.

"really?"

"no, of course not" he deadpanned.

"sam what the fuck"

"maybe if you weren't going out with such dicks he'd been more lenient."

where was all of this coming from?

"and what the hell do you know, sam?"

before he could say anymore, i heard the boys on the stairs from the basement, i gave up and left, giving sam one last look i opened the front door and slammed it almost instantly.

the air was cold and the wind even colder, blowing my blonde hair over my eyes.

connor was already sat outside in his range, jack, lewis and tye in the back.

"your late" connor murmured, staring at the road as i climbed in.

"i'm sorry-" i whispered , glancing over at connor.

"gonna get some tonight eh boys" lewis roared, clapping his hands together as the rest of the boys cheered back.

"what does he mean?" i looked to connor, who blatantly responded with,

"we're going to a club."

i hated clubs, i had only been once and my experience had been terrible, connor knew about this.

"what's wrong with you?"

"nothing, i'm just tired"

"well we're going, cassie so just try and enjoy it" he smiled slightly, placing his hand down on my thigh.
