by the time i had got home it was 18:00, i had taken the long way back to walk dylan home so i was later than i intended to be.

to my surprise, as i got into the house i didn't hear the usual music coming from the basement, in fact i heard nothing really at all.

"hello!" i called out as i slipped my shoes off and chucked them in the cupboard.

thankfully, my dads voice called back from the living room.

"hey dad" i smiled as i threw myself onto the sofa, taking up the majority of it.

"how was your day?" my dad asked as he got up.

"it was good thanks, me and dylan went shopping and grabbed some food, it was nice."

"i'm very glad," he smiled, "i'm going out with a few friends tonight and probably won't be back until tomorrow cassie, do you mind?"

"no of course not dad have fun"

"thank you pumpkin, i'll see you tomorrow"

just as he opened the door i asked him if he knew deans whereabouts.

"dad, where's dean?"

"oh him and the boys have gone out, clubbing i suppose" my dad chuckled.

unlike me, dean loved a bit of clubbing and i knew drew, joe and sam did too.

"alright thank you, goodnight!"

"goodnight, pumpkin"

<3

"cass"

"cass?"

"CASS"

i opened my eyes to the sight of dean stood over my bed, one hand on the wall and one on his head.

what the fuck? it's literally 11pm.

"dean what the hell are you doing," i whisper-shouted.

"i'm drunk"

"i can see that"

"just, just let us in"

this boy was going to be the death of me

"dean, you ARE in"

"the boys," he slurred.

"for fuck sake" i grunted as i realised what he meant. we had done this before when drew had come back home after drinking and wanted to bring the boys in too, so i was pretty used to it.
i rolled out of bed, holding deans hand and back as i guided him out of my room and down the steps carefully so he didn't go head first rolling down the stairs.

just as i was expecting, a drunken dru, joe and sam were lay across the lounge floor and the sofas.

"really dean? you had to bring everybody back? your so lucky dads not here right now."

"ohhh hey cassie" dru opened his eyes momentarily and waved, before dropping it back down.

"dru michael i could ruin your entire career right now with just one photo, shut up."

"hey cass, remember when you slapped me?" joe hiccuped, looking up at me.

"yes joseph i do, and i'll do it again."

"damn she's moody tonight boys"

boy do i hate men.

the rest of the boys chuckled, i didn't know what they were on, nor did i care i just wanted to go to sleep. but a part of me felt bad just leaving them.

"oh, i see how it is, i was actually thinking of throwing a couple of tesco pizzas into the oven, but if you don't want my help i'm happy to go to bed."

my words completely changed the boys attitude as they all jumped at my statement, apologising and begging for food.

"tramps the lot of you" i spoke, my geordie accent thick as i left the boys and headed to the kitchen.

after cooking the pizzas, i gave them to the boys and headed back to my room. i wanted to try and get some sleep but it was difficult with the racket downstairs.
they were even louder than normal.

it wasn't until 2am when the boys had stopped making noise and i was finally getting to sleep when my bedroom door slowly clicked open. it took me by surprise for sure, i threw my blanket over my head to cover myself as i only slept in a primark ribbed bra.

"erm, hello?" i murmured, peaking my head over the blanket, looking towards the sillohette standing in the doorway. they were taller than dean, taller than joe, taller than drew and taller than my dad so it could've only been sam or a complete stranger,

"sam?"

"hey," he whispered, "can i turn on the light?"

"go ahead."

the light switched on, blinding me momentarily had my eyes been adjusted to the dark for so long.

i was half expecting him to say/ask for something, seeing as he had come into my room, but he didn't. he just stood there looking at me.

as i analysed him closer he didn't really look drunk anymore, he had more colour to him and his eyes weren't as tired-looking.

"are you alright?"

"yeah, yeah am alright" he smiled slightly, he looked pretty unguarded, which is what i wanted.

"good, is there something you'd like or do you usually just end up in girls rooms when your drunk"

"well yeah i usually do end up in girls rooms when i'm drunk" he smirked.

"asshole"

"i'm kidding, cass and plus i'm not even really drunk anymore"

silence.

"do you wanna go out"

sorry what.

"not date me cassie, come outside with me."

oh well that's embarrassing.

"come outside with you?"

"yeah, like maybe down to the beach or something"

this was when i noticed that sams attitude had changed. he had lost the cockyness and he looked more.... genuine?

his eyes were fixed to mine but every now and then he'd look down to the floor, or at the ceiling.

i thought over his offer, it was 2am and was pitch black outside. sam was getting a pretty big deal now too in the world, more and more people were starting to hear his name, so i could see why he wanted to go out now instead of the broad daylight. but i would just be going out with him like it was nothing...

but to me it was nothing, i'd never really looked at him like that but i guess that was the reality.

"yeah, okay."
