chapter 4: Battle against the fearless wannabe royal guard.

Frisk POV.
I just finished doing a puzzle. These puzzles are just getting confusing. Chara was just quiet the whole way. I had to figure out the puzzles myself. There were not many save points. So it was annoying to die over and over because I had to restart the puzzles again. There was this one puzzles that was on ice. I need to slide on these buttons. I fall off a Bunch of times that I lost count. But I finally completed it. I got to the otherside. I hope there a check point soon. I also was able to befriend the monsters here too. It makes me smile with how friendly they are. The last puzzles was hard. It had everything that the last puzzles had. By far the hardest one. I needed boogie for it. Thank to our teamwork I was able to complete the finally puzzles. I hope there no traps up ahead. I really want to go to sleep. I lie down on the snow. At least it was soft. Boogie: "you did it frisk! You made it. I'm so proud of you" I smiled at him. "I couldn't have done it without your help" I hold out my hand for a high five. He used his vine to gave me a high five. Chara: "yes yes. We are all so happy that you have done it. Now get up. Town is just up ahead"she walk ahead. I got up. "Let's go boogie. Let's hope there a place to stay at" he nodded. We got into town. I looked at the sign. Snowdin. Chara: "welcome to snowdin. The coldest place in the underground. Right over there is the shop. The one next to it is a inn. Just further down the street is grillby bar" an inn. We can finally get some sleep. "Thanks chara!" I said to her. She looks surprised to hear me say that. I guess it because she was bring me here. I walk inside. There was a bunny behind the table. She looks scared. Bunny: "h-hello" I than wave at her. "Hi there!" Than she hide behind a table. Bunny: "I'm sorry! I didnt mean t- wait. Did you say hi?" I nodded. Bunny: "your the first one to say hi to me. Besides my sister!" She was happy. Bunny: "I'm so glad. I'm sorry if im being too happy. It because every monster that comes in just yell and shout at me. It scare me. But I'm glad to see there someone nice!" I smiled. She must have been though alot trying to run this place with violence monsters around. Bunny: "my sister who work the shop next to me told me that I need to be angry. It the only way to fit in as well as to not get hurt. But I cant. No matter how I try" her face turn sad. "Come on. Cheer up. There no need to feel sad. I know it hard to be like the others. But no matter what. do what you think is right. Dont let anyone tell you your wrong. That how I been doing it all my life" boogie face turn to sad. I hope I didnt offended him. Bunny: "your right! You are very right! I will keep being nice no matter what happen! Thank you" I smiled. "Im glad. Is there a room available?" Bunny: "let see. A yes. The first room on the first floor. You dont have to pay. You were nice to me. So you can stay for free for now on" really!? "Are you sure? I dont want to make you or me look bad" she smiled at me. Bunny: "it alright. I would be glad to. After all we friends right?" I nodded. How can we not br friends. "Thank you" she gave me the key to my room. I went up stairs. I got to my room and jump on the bed. I placed boogie on the drawer. The bed is comfortable. Boogie: "looks like they have a bath room. Why dont you have a shower to clean your self up" I nodded and went into the shower.
Boogie pov.
She went into the shower. She so nice. She befriend all the monsters on the way to the snowdin. I never thought monster would change. I spent so many years in that ruins. Hiding, fighting, trying to survive. It scare me everyday because some day it was going to be my last. But than she came. I Witness that power she has. I know it to well. I never thought I'll see it again. Or that it can save me from death. I thought frisk was like the other humans. But she so different. Just looking at her. I can feel kindness radiator from her. It like she was born with it. Her determination must be helping her out as well. I never seen anyone wanting to be kind. Maybe there hope for the underground to change. Go back to what it used to be. I see the door of the bathroom open a bit.  "is something the matter?" I cant see her face. She hold out her arm. Frisk: "uh. Can you grab a towel" she forgot her towel. I chuckled. I used my vine to grab her towel and gave it to her. Frisk: "thank you!" She shut the door. I'm glad to be gone from the ruins. I never been anywhere else. Me and frisk may die over and over. But I promise. I'll protect her no matter what. She came out wearing her clothes. She lie on the bed. "Can I ask you a question?" I asked. Frisk: "sure. What is it?" I wonder if she has a plan. "What your plan?" She started thinking. Frisk: "I guess to befriend all the monsters. If I remember chara mention that there a barrier?" I nodded. I wonder why she asked? Frisk: "maybe the monsters will be more grateful to be free and change there way" wait. She wants to free us. I dont know if that good. Monster want there revenge against the humans. If she does that. The humans will be endangered. "Are you sure that monster can be nice?" Than she smiled. Frisk: "of course! They just need to try. trust me" I smile back. I can i doubt that smile. She knows what she doing and I'll be there to help and protect anyway I can. "Goodnight frisk" frisk: "goodnight boogie" than she drift off to sleep really fast. I cant really sleep but I will try. Frisk. The human that saved the underground with kindness. What a name.
Chara POV.
I am in my room. Sitting on my bed. I cant believe she survived or more she never gave up. Now here she is. In my town. Great. Just fucking great! I cant believe someone like her exists! She think everyone can be nice!? What a load of bull shit! If that true than why didnt that work for me! Why didnt it work when I need it the most!! Doesnt matter now. I need to figure out how to break her. I than heard a noise. It coming from my phone. I grab it and had a look. It a text's from rei. It says that he is coming over tomorrow. I smirked. "Look like tomorrow is going to be great"
*The next day*
Frisk POV.
"No!!" I shot my self up. I'm breathing rapidly. That dream again. Why him! Why does it show him! I hate him! I dont belong to him! I dont! I looked around. It just a dream. It just a dream. I look over at boogie. He still a sleep. I'm glad. I dont want him to know. I went into the bathroom. I pull up my sweater. I look at the marks around my body. Two years. I cant believe they are still there. I looked at my shoulder. The bullet mark is still there. My own father. I should have known. I walk out of the bathroom. Boogie is awake. "Morning" he used his Vines to rub his eye. Boogie: "morning. Did you have a good sleep" I nodded. He attached him self to my arm. I walk out of my room. I gave the bunny her key back. Bunny: "I hope you visit again!" I waved back. I walk out. I smell the fresh air. Chara: "your awake" I look to where that voice came from. It chara. She wearing her same outfit but she wearing a black skirt. Doesnt she get cold? Chara: "there someone that I want you to meet" she wants me to meet someone? I wonder who? Chara: "he should be here in. 3, 2, 1" ???: "CHARA!!!" Chara: "he here" than I see something running over to us. It stop. It looks like a goat. But weird lines near it eyes. ???: "there you are chara! Why didnt you say hello to me when I told you I was coming over!!" Chara: "because I have a surprise" than she push me forwards. He gasp his face. ???: "is that. A human!?" She nodded. Chara: "in a flesh. Right sweetie?" Uh. Right? ???: "wait. If you knew that was a human! Why didnt you kill them!!" He really loud. I feel like I'm going to go death in a minute. Chara: "I would. But I thought why not you do it" he looks really angry. Almost like he about to explode in a second. ???: "your always so lazy! Letting me do everything for you!! But if I kill this human and bring her soul to the captain! I can finally be apart of the royal guards! If I do no one can challenge me again!!" Than he die a dramatic pose. Asriel: "human!!! My names is asriel! The god of hyperdeath and the one that will end you!!" ......I started chuckling. Asriel: "why are you laughing!! You should be scared!!" How can I. It just funny. Boogie look at me wondering if I'm doing it on purpose. Well I dont want to sound mean but it funny. Asriel: "GRRRRR!!! How dare you laugh at the great asriel!! Well let us begin! I'm going to show you.how scare I can be!!" I looked at my items. I have nothing at all. "Uh. Can I prepare first?" He started laughing. Asriel: "you really think that will help you! Why should I let you hm!" Does he have to be loud. "Well you wouldn't want to defeat me quick would you. After all. You are the all mighty god of hyperdeath. I would like to have a chance" he started thinking. Asriel: "your right! If you die really quick I wouldn't have anytime to show any of my cool moves! Go prepare yourself human! Out battle will be held at the Entrance to waterfall! Just follow the long path way and you will find me there!!" Than he left. Chara smirked at me. Chara: "he going to be tough. Even I struggle against him" I already guess he going to be tough. But that wont stop me. Chara: "look sweetie I'm going to be honest with you. You stand no chance at befriending him. No only does people call him the wannabe royal guard but he also fearless and ruthless. He will show no mercy to anyone. Not even to me" I noticed a collar around her neck. She notices I was staring at that collar. Chara: "oh this? I have to wear it because he owns me. I lost in a battle years ago so now everywhere I go I have to wear this" i can tell she hates it. Chara: "I'll gave up if I was you. I did years ago" than she left. Boogie: "frisk. She wants you to give up. I dont know what this asriel guy can do but I do know that you can help him. I saw he having doubt's in his mind but he pushing them away" how can he see him having doubt's? Boogie: "I spent years in the underground. You learn a thing or two about the other monsters" did he read my mind or did he knew I was going to question that? Anyway there a shop just there. I need some stuff for the battle. I went to the shop next to the hotels. It another bunny person. She looks abit older than the one that running the hotel. She looks at me. Older bunny: "so must be the one my sister mention. If there anything you want. It on the house" what? "Did you say. It on the house?" I don't know if I heard that right. Older bunny: "you heard me right. Anything you want. You can have it" so I heard right after. "Why? We just met?" Older bunny: "you were nice to my sister. There hasn't been anyone that was nice in this town for years. She was really happy when I came to visit. She told me that she met a very nice human. She was over joy that I had to tell her to be quiet. I never seen her that happy in years. I'm grateful that you met her" I smiled. "I'm glad she happy. It makes me sad to hear what she has to go though" older bunny: "yeah. Monsters wouldn't give her a break. Anyway you need anything?" I nodded. I got alot of items. Boogie carrys most of them for me. I went to the save point outside of the hotel. I saved. "Meeting two bunny's that show you kindness. Fills you with happiness and determination!" Now it time to face asriel. Well by facing him I mean show him kindness. I got to the exit of snowdin. It was getting foggy. Boogie: "I'll check to make sure he not playing dirty" I nodded. He used his Vines and put them into the ground. Boogie: "hm. I'm surprised. There no traps. You are in the clear" sound like asriel is fighting fair. I than see a person infront of me. I believe that asriel. Asriel: "human. Chara told me about how you best both my traps and puzzles. I'm impressed. I never seen anyone that does my puzzles. So that means you are tough! So this battle shouldnt be a bore!" Than he summon swords. They look cool! He point one at me. Asriel: "get ready human!" I nodded. The battle began.
(Battle start)
I chose check. "Asriel dreemurr. The so called god of hyperdeath. Atk 30. Def 40. He full of him self. But he really strong. Watch out for his attacks" asriel: "are you ready human? Because I'm going to attack! Chaos blades!!" Than he started swing his blades at me. They were really fast. But they have a cool name! Chaos blades. "They look so cool" asriel: "thank you! I pick the name my se- hey!! Dont try to distract me!!" I was able to dodge them. I chose spare. Asriel: "impressive! I haven't seen someone dodge my chaos blades before! Now it time for my next attack! Star blazing!!" Than stars were falling. They were coming at me. They are huge I was able to dodge one but when they hit the ground they explode. Sending little ones at me. I got hit by them. Than I got hit by the big one. Taking my hp down to zero. I died.
(GAME OVER)
I appear back at the hotel. Boogie: "what attacks does he have!" I'm surprised as well. I see chara walking over to us. Chara: "hard am I right? Dont worry. You can give up anytime you want. I'll take good care of you~" take care of me? Does she mea- no! I cant think of that. I think deep down she not as bad as she shows. I just need to show her that monster can be nice. Even when she doesnt think so. I went back to the battle with asriel again. I die and die and die again. Chara thinks I have giving up but my determination grows big and big. I'm never going to give up! No matter what she says. I die one more time. I appeared back at the hotel. Chara: "why brother trying? There no hope for these monsters. You better off just leaving" I have to try. "If I dont. Than what do you think will happen?" Chara: "all the monsters will kill each other" I nodded. "There would be no monsters left. They want to be out of this place. They want to see the surface. That why I need to try. I want them to see that there is still good people out there" chara walk away. Chara: "what do you know about good?" It all I can hear before she left. Boogie: "something happen to her. I just know it" I nodded. I want to understand her. But I'll have to befriend asriel first. I went back to my battle with asriel. I remember all of his moves. I do believe he has some more moves up his sleeves. I'll have to be careful. Boogie will try and destroy some of his attacks. While blocking them as well. My goal is to tell him how cool his moves are. That is when he stops. I hope.
(Battle start)
I chose spare. He swing his chaos blades at me. I jump, duck, move side to side to dodge them. I chose spare again. He send stars at me. I dodge the big ones as boogie use his Vines to block the little ones. We survived the stars. Asriel: "not bad! But I still have moves to win this battle! Chaos blasters!!" Than he summon his chaos blasters. They were annoying to dodge. They just pop out of no where and fire. Boogie try to protect me with his Vines but they blast right though it. I was able to dodge them. It time to put my plan into to motion. "You have really cool moves!" I said to him. Asriel: "why thank you! I practiced these moves every-hey! Dont try to distract me while we fight!!" Even though I'm.not really fighting. Asriel: "chaos bolts!!" I dodge the incoming bolts. They were coming at me fast. I was able to dodge them. "Do you have any more cool moves?" Asriel: "not really but these moves I have are too a great to be bested by any new moves! Wait. Why am I talking to you! Die already!!" Than he swing his chaos blades and summons chaos blasters. Dodging swing and blaster. It like a action movie. I was able to dodge them. "Do a cool pose!" Than asriel did a pose. Asriel: "what do you think! Is this cool?" I nodded and clapped. He smiled but than realize that we were battling. Asriel: "focus asriel!" Than he send star blazing and chaos bolts. Boogie send flower pellets to destroy the small stars. I got hit by a bolts. Taking my hp down to 13. I ate cinnamon bun. Restoring my hp to full. Than he send star blazing again. Once again boogie used his flower pellets to destroy the little stars. He summon chaos blasters as well. I got hit by one of the blasters. Taking my hp down to 12. I try to catch my breath. "Your so cool!" I was able to say. Asriel: "....." he than swing his blades as bolts came at me. I got hit by has blade. It took my hp down to 10. I can feel my self losing breath. I look at asriel. Is he worried? "*huff* *puff* your amazing!!" Asriel: "human I. No! I cant do that! Gave up human or I'll used my ultimate attacks!!" He does look worried. It look like he giving me a chance to surrender. I ate another cinnamon bun. It Full restore my hp. He still waitting for me to surrender. I chose spare. Asriel: "you wont? Than you leave me with no choice!" He summons chaos blasters, chaos bolts, star blazing and swing his chaos blades. Than a big chaos blaster charge right behind him. I was able to dodge his other attacks. It finish charging. Boogie: "frisk! You have to find cover! That thing will hit directly!!" I looked around to find a place to get behind. Nothing. The only thing I have left to do. Is to take the hit. Asriel: "MEGA!!" This is going to hurt. Big time. I grab boogie off my arm and threw him into the trees. Boogie: "FRISK!!!" I look at the blast as he ready to fire. Asriel: "CHAOS!!!" This is going to hurt. Really bad. Asriel: "BLASTER!!!" He fire it. It power. It hard to stand still! I can feel it pushing me back! I try to stand my ground. My hp is going down really slow. I cant die. I will not die! After awhile it stopped. My hp is at 0.1. That the lowest it has ever been. I can see asriel catching his breath. That attack took alot out of us. Asriel: "*huff* *puff* you *huff* survive! *puff* impressive! *huff* human!" I was able to catch my breath. "That......was a h
Awesome!!!!" I said. He looked surprised. I ran up to him. "Ypu must have work hard! Those moves will Shirley get you into the royal guards!!" How can they not! They are well thought of moves. Asriel: "really!? I agree. I been practicing day and night to perfect these moves" than he stop smiling. "Is something wrong?" Boogie quickly made his way to me. Boogie: "don't throw me ever got that!!" I nodded. I let him attached to my arm. I looked at asriel. He sad. Asriel: "your smile. It remind me of chara smile. Back before she became what she is now" I knew it. Chara was nice. Why did she change? Asriel: "chara was kind to everyone. Just like you. But no monster would accept her kindness. I was the only one that did. I asked if chara can be part of our family. My mom said yes. But she had other plans. She would tell us that kindness is not accepted in the underground anymore. I was worried about chara. When she wouldn't change. Dad and mom did something. I would hear screams coming from a room. I was outside of the door. After that me and chara would get angry at each other. We would fight. I always won because of my magic but she had something that could never stop fighting. After I won I put a collar around her neck. Telling her that she is mine. What is say she listens. If I tell her to do something. She will. That how it works. I enjoy it but I end up feeling bad for what I did. I wanted to take it off of her but she was too far gone. We never want to spent any of our time anywhere near each other. I would leave to practice over at waterfall. While chara is only allowed to stay in snowdin" so that why. Chara turn angry because she gave up. How sad. Asriel: "we have to act mean and angry. It the only way for out parents to look at us! They would smile when we do something bad. Than they continue with whatever they want! I dont want to do this anymore! I want everything to go back the way they were!" He started tearing up. It hurt him alot. Both him and chara are suffering. I hug her. He was surprised about that hug. Asriel: "why are you hugging me?" Do I need a reason? "It because you needed it" I keep hugging. Asriel: "why are you so nice?" I smiled. "Because I want to be" than he hug back. I can feel his tears on my shoulder. Boogie join in as well. I keep crying. I think that help him. We than let go. Asriel: "thank you human. I really need that" his name change to yellow. I than spare him.

He rub his eyes. Asriel: "I really did need that. I used to be called a cry baby. I guess that true" I giggled. Than something went past my face really fast. It stop in place. It a knife. It went past my face again. I look to where it came from. It chara. Chara: "hey bro. Hey sweetie. Enjoy your little chat" she was throwing it up and catching it. Something tell me that she is not happy. Asriel stand infront of me. Chara: "what are you doing asriel?" Asriel: "chara. I know we are not on good things we each other. But I want you to listen" chara: "like I care about what you are going to say. You are missing your chance to be part of the royal guards. If you dont kill her than I will take away your position" I think she wants to kill me because he told me about her. Asriel: "I dont care about being apart of the royal guards anymore! All I care about is wanting us to be a family again!" Chara looks surprised. Chara: "family? Asriel. You know as well as I do that they dont gave a damn about us. After what those humans did. They only want us to be there weapons. To keep other monsters from challenging them and us. If you think that things can be the same as it was before. Than you are wrong big time" she points her knife at me. Asriel didnt move. Chara: "move now. She not worth protecting" asriel: "she is! She can help bring our family back the way they were before. All it take is a chance" chara: "a chance. A chance! That what I did when I fell down here! I gave every monster in this God forsaken underground and all they did was spat on it. Now no monster will ever question me or disrespect me every again. Now move or die. Your choice" asriel stand his ground. Asriel: "I know what will change your mind" he walk up to chara and took the collar off. Chara was surprised. Chara: "y-you?" Asriel: "you have no idea how much it hurts to see you with this on. I know you think I enjoy it but I didnt. Now you are free to leave and do way ever you want" chara was speechless. It like something new open her eyes. Asriel: "I just have only one request. I want you to follow the human though the undergroud" what!? Boogie: "what!?" Chara: "what!? Your kidding right?" I hope he is. She still angry with me. Asriel: "I'm not. Your the only one that I trust to do this. I'm not telling you as a order. I'm telling you as a brother. Can you please do this?" She look at me and back at him. I wonder what going though her mind. Chara: "fine! But just this once! Got it!" He jump happily. Asriel: "thank you chara!" He than hug her. I dont think she felt a hug in years. He let go. Chara than walk to me. She look at me before going ahead. I waved at asriel. Asriel: "be careful. The captain  patrols waterfall. She really strong!!" I nodded. I went to catch up with chara. I did it. I befriend asriel. It was tough but I did it. It was thanks to boogie as well. I would never have thought of a plan with he wasn't here. Nice it waterfall time. There going to be traps and puzzles there. The captain as well. I must be prepared. This is going to be a tough battle again. But I have Chara now. If she wants to help. But I know we can do it. I will neve give up until the underground is free.

Liquid: done. Finally. Took yesterday and today to finish this. Anyway you guys take over.
Chara: "ok. I find it this story weird"
Frisk: "a world where monsters turn violence. It sounds scary"
Charisk: "I would never want to stay there. Monster are nice and kind. They are great"
Chara: "you got that right. Anyway looks like it moving to waterfalls. It going to be dangerous over there"
Frisk: "I hope she will survive"
Charisk: "of course she will. She you"
Liquid: she fell frisk. So that mean this frisk and that one are different"
Chara: "anyway let's end this. Your turn frisk"
Frisk: "ok!! Thank you for reading this book. I hope you enjoy it. See you in the next chapter. Peace!"
