chapter 5: waterfalls. where the waters is still blue.

Frisk POV.
I made it out of snowdin. I look around. So this is waterfalls. It look beautiful. Much better than the other places. It very blue. I see chara lean against the wall. I walk up to her. "So this is waterfall?" She nodded. Chara: "yup. Waterfall. The only place that you cant change no matter what. *sigh* look I'm not happy with what you did to asriel" what I did? "You mean show asriel kindness?" Chara: "you made him nice! Do you know how many years I spent with him!? 16 years! 16 years i spent being apart of his family!! They took care of me when I fell down here! We hated each other for years!! Now! Now he back to his old self. The one before we all change. I guess I should thank you. But that doesnt change any! He told me to follow you. I'm not going to help you with battles got that!" I nodded. I feel like we understand each other. After all she is a hot looking girl that I never thought I'll be interested in. Man I cant stop staring at her. Why am I interested in her? Is it because she act like a bad girl. I mean she wearing a skirt. They only reach her legs. I wonder what she wearing underneath. Wait. Why am I thinking of that! God. I am so interest in her. The only problem is She not interested in me. I guess I'll focus on what I'm doing. A little sad but I understand. As we walk forwards asriel was right. There are traps. Who place them? Why is there so many? Chara: "I guess he came though here as well." Who came though here? Chara looked at me. Chara: "my dad. All of the traps in the underground was placed by hi. He even worst than mom. I dont know what happen to him. But there need to worry. We wont be running into him anytime soon" I nodded. Sound like a very bad person. I'll have to keep a look out. I was dodging the traps. Now we have turrets and lasers. How advanced is the underground. There must be alot of machines here. Chara went up ahead. Boogie: "I think chara is happy. You really are doing something right" I smiled. I'm glad. I may not know about her family. But if I can help them. Maybe chara will go back to being nice. Why do I feel like I want to see her smile. I know it wont happen. Maybe? I dont know. I was distracted by my thoughts that I almost walk into a trap. The ground opening up. I can see spikes. I was about to fall into it. But I was pulled back. I was throwing down. I see chara looking at the trap. Did she save me? She look at me. Chara: "I dont know what you were thinking. But keep a eye on where you are walking?" I nodded. "Thanks for that. I guess I was too much in thoughts" chara: "well thinking ok. It just there a time and place to do that. Right now it not the time. I want to get out of this places as fast as we can" I agree. I dont want to run into the captain. We continue forwards dodging traps. I got into battles and spare them in the end. The monsters are rethinking there way form thinking. Once they were about let me kill you and everything but now they are sorry for trying to hurt me. Boogie made sure to block some of there attacks as well as destroying there attacks. Chara watches from the sidelines but she tells me what attacks they do and how to avoid them. We make a good team. We got to area. It has a tall grass infront of me. Than we heard a noise. Chara: "no! Hide!" She push me into the tall grass. Chara: "whatever you do. Dont come out!" Why? She walks away from me. I made a little hole to see in the grass. Chara is looking around. Than something landed right behind her. There was smoke around it. I can see two red eyes. They were staring at chara. Chara took a step back. She looked scared. ???: "chara. Why are you here?" Chara was too scared to speak. Why? Who is this monster? ???: "chara. You must replie when I ask you a question." Chara was able to speak. Chara: "i-i w-was j-just walking t-though" the red eyes walk to chara. It was a big monster. It was wearing a suit of armor. ???: "your ok? You look scared" she was so close to chara that she put her hand on chara shoulder. Than out of nowhere she hit chara into a wall. ???: "you dont go silent when your mother is here!!" Chara push her self out of the wall and fell onto the ground. That her mother!? No it cant be! A mother shouldnt be doing that! She walk over to chara and pick her up by her coat. ???: "how pathetic! Never showing your own mother respect! I'll have to teach you a lesson in respect!" Than she started hitting chara. I want to go out and stop her but boogie was holding me back. Boogie: "frisk stop! If you step out there she will kill you!" I dont care. I dont want to watch chara get hurt! A parents is supposed to protect there kids! Why is she hurting her! I want to stop it! Boogie covered my mouth with his Vines to stop me from yelling. Just watching that happen I keep remember that happen to me. My parents try to control me! To make me what they want! They sold me! I cant watch! It hurt me more to see her hurt! She stop hitting her. She look like she almost dead! ???: "pathetic" she threw her onto the water. Than she left. Boogir let me go as I ran to jump into the water. I keep continue to swimming to grab her. I grab her and boogie pull me back to the ground. We got to the ground. I pull chara up. I looked at her hp. Her lv is ? But her hp is 10. I listen to her heart beat to make sure she breath. She is. I'm glad. I got a cinnamon bun. She a sleep so I have to restore her hp or if something attacks us she will die. I took a bite of my cinnamon bun. I chew it but didnt swallow. I hold chara up. I made our lips connected. I used my tongue to put the food into her mouth and she swallowed it. Her hp was restored by the 20. I lie down. Boogie went close to me. Boogie: "your alright?" I nodded. Boogie: "are you sure? You didnt sound fine when she was getting life beating out of her" just hearing that makes me angry. "I'm fine. It just. She not the only one that nearly had he life beating out of her" I dont want to tell him. Boogie: "I understand. I wont ask" I'm glad he understand. Boogie: "by the way. Did you just kiss her?" Kiss her? !. Oh my god! I did! No wait! That was not a kiss! "I didnt! I just put food in her mouth to restore some of her hp!" Boogie: "ok? Sure" I never thought that was a kiss. I just wanted to restore her hp that all. My heads hurts from thinking. I feel tired. I think we are alright here. I guess I may as well get some sleep. Boogie: "you look tired. Get some sleep. I'll keep a look out" I nodded. I lie down. I was looking at chara. She looks like she a sleep too. I don't know what I'm thinking about. I guess there a something you cant really say. I close my eyes leting sleep take over me.
Chara POV.
I was on the surface just walking around. I was saying hi to all the people. It makes me happy to see them. It was sunny. The kids are playing. The adults are working hard. Everthing was peaceful. But I knew this was a lie. Everything than turn dark. I feel myself becoming what I am. I keep on walking until I reach a mirror. I can see what I was before I turn into this. I'm wearing a green sweater. Brown shorts. No earrings. Than a normal look. "It been awhile. I thought you have  disappeared forever" even though it speaks I cant make out what it is saying. But I do read lips so I know what it saying. "Well I dont know why your back. Like i told you years ago. My kindness has never help me. The only way to survive is the fight" as alway it never understand what I mean. It think kindness is the only answer. Sound like someone I know. "You mean frisk?" Wait. Did I just hear her speak? "Did you just spoke?" I'm not going crazy right? "You can! finally" why? There no reason. She only has talk about how it not to later for me to return what I used to be. "That frisk human. She is really nice. It been years the last time I seen anyone that nice" I cant stop my self from agreeing. How is this human so nice. It makes me wonder what they are planning. "I dont think they are planning anything. It looks like they have survived by there own will" how!There no way for her to not give up! What does she have that I dont! "You will have to figure that out your self. After all I'm you" I forgot there no use for me to speak in my mind. "I dont care anyway. Once we get to judgment hall that is where I'm going! There no point in me trying. I can't protect anyone" "true. But you can protect her. She maybe the only one that needs your help" tsk. Whatever. I destroy the mirror. "I know deep down that im still in there. You just need someone. Someone that share what you been though" I close my eyes. I open them. I got up. My body feels painful. What happen? I'm still at waterfall. I see boogie. Frisk is a sleep. Great. Boogie: "of your awake. Frisk was worry about you" I still dont understand why? Man she confused me alot. "What happen? I cant really remember" boogie: "well you told frisk to hide in the tall grass. Than you end up getting beating by your mother" I remember. I can feel the fear from just by remembering it. I think I black out after that. "What happen after it?" I cant believe I'm asking a flower. Boogie: "she threw you in the water and frisk five in to save you" I should have known. Why is she so nice!! Why to me!! It makes me angry because I dont know why!! Than. As I look at her. She looks peaceful. Almost cute if I say. Wait. I didnt say that right? I hope I didn't. Other wise that flower wont let me live it down. I stand up. "I'm going to have a look around. Just to make sure there no one here" I walk ahead. I look around. There no one here. Good. Now I can be alone with my thoughts. She so nice! But why to me! I dont understand! I treated her with nothing but hate but she still act nice! I dont get it! But that not the only problem! She cute! Like a fucking teddy bear! Just looking at her makes me blush! I hate it! I hate it! I'm not interested in girls! Or am I? I mean I was thinking about naughty things but that only to break her! Grrr! I hate my head. I dont understand anything!! *sigh* calm down chara. You will understand someday. Right now let just focus on getting out of waterfall. I dont want to run into mom. I walk back to the others. I got to where they are. Frisk is awake. She looked at me and ran up to me. She hug me. I was surprised. Frisk: "I was so worried about you! I'm so glad your ok!" Man why is she so cute! "Yeah I'm alright. Can you let go" she let go of me. Fuck want to hug her more. "Anyway. Let's go. We need to get going. Before she comes" ???: "who coming?" I turn around to where the voice is coming from. I see monster kid? Monster kid: "what are you losers up too" great why did we run into him. He looked at me. Monster kid: "you! I finally found you! Now we can start our battle right now!" I am not wasting my time in fighting him. I grab frisk hand. "Let go" I was pulling her past monster kid. Monster kid: "hey! We are not done yet!" I didn't listen to him. I got us away from him. "Man he annoying" kid really got to stop asking me to fight him. Frisk: "uh. Chara" I look at frisk. "What?" I noticed I'm still holding her hand. I quickly let go. "Um uh. Anyway let go!" I quickly walk forwards. I can't believe I was still holding her hand. I mean it was small and soft but. That not what I should be thinking! God damn it! As we keep on walking. Frisk got into more battles. She die more than once but I think we got to a save point. We dodge more traps and did more puzzles. If I'm being honest watching frisk die over and over again really is not a good thing to watch. I know I act mean and everything but I cant stop myself from looking away. I thought I watch people die was fun. But it only fun when they stay die. She didnt. As we were walking frisk stop. "What wrong?" She was looking at the water. Frisk: "it so pretty here" I'm not going to lie. Waterfall has always been pretty. It the only place that cant change bo matter what. Frisk sat down. I sat down with her. We were staring at the water with the flowers on it. It always been enjoyable to be here. I look at frisk. There mind is focus on something. I wonder what. Frisk: "chara?" Oh crap! I need to look away. "Yeah?" She looking right at me. Frisk: "why did you fall?" Why did I fall? Man I never thought anyone would ask me that question. "It hard to explain but. I guess I fell down here because I was running away" frisk: "running away? From what?" I cant believe I'm telling her this. "I was running away from my life" man she going to be surprised. Frisk: "your. Life?" That right. I may as well tell her. "I was born in a nice place. There were nice people around. Everything was great. But the only problem was that my parents wanted me to become what they want. I did everything they said to become what they want because why not? After many years I stopped. I wanted to be my own person. But they wont let me. So I ran away from my home. I came to mount ebott to start a new life. To start a new me. But as you can see that went down hill really fast. For years I blame human for what they done. I still do. But now. Bow i think. Did I make the right choice?" I hope she doesnt ask anymore. I really hate talking about my past. Frisk: "your just like me" What! I look at frisk. Is she serious? No she cant be! Not to someone like her. Than she pull up her sweater. I don't believe what I am looking at. I see punch Mark's and hit Mark's on her body. She show her back. There Mark's there too. She show me her arm. There a bullet hole! What the fuck! Frisk: "my parents wanted me to be what they want. I refuse so that hurt me. They try to get me to surrender. They try to break me. But I didnt. I stood my ground. Than they sold me to someone" what!? They sold there own daughter!? That mess up! Even I know that! Frisk: "I spent two years with him. He treated me with nothing but pain. I always thought that someday I would die. I took my chance and run. I was able to leave where I was and began somewhere new. I enjoy that new life. I met nice people. Got a good job. Got a place I can stay at. Everything was going well. Than two years later I was walking back home. Than someone snuck up behind me and knock me unconscious. Later I woke up tie to a chair. I was in my own home. There were people in my place. Than I saw him. The man I was force to marry. He found me after two years. My parents were there too. While they were grabbing my stuff and everything I was able to untie my self. I than got outside and into my car. I drive all the way to mount ebott. My plan was to hide there but. As you know that didnt go as plan" I dont believe this. She has to be pulling my leg. She went through hell and she never give up. Is this her will or is it the determination doing? I dont know. But what I do know is. We both went though hell but she the worst. "I had no idea" frisk: "how can you when I never told anyone? I dont want to think about it. Come one let get going" she got up. I looked at boogie. He thinking the same thing i am. It was sad. I join her. We got to the wooden bridge. Than fire was appearing. Is she here! I looked around. No she not here. Good. Frisk: "are those. Fire?" I nodded. "That mom magic. She know how to make it burn let me tell you" we got all the way to the end. Past though the tall grass. Monster kid: "there you are!!" Oh great. Monster kid: "I found you! I won't let you get away this time!" He ready him self. Than frisk step forward. Frisk: "why do you want to fight chara?" Does she really need to ask? Monster kid: "why? Because she the daughter of the captain! If I defeat her I can challenge the captain toriel" I'm more tough than he thinks. Frisk: "but dont you think that wrong? I mean. You are hurting someone family. If toriel heard that her own daughter was hurt that would make her sad" monster kid looks like he thinking. That a first. Monster kid: "I dont care what you have to say. I'm going to beat her and toriel" I grab her hand again. They are soft. "Come on. Let not waste time" we walk past him. He yell that he not done with me. But I know I am. We continue. Dodging traps. Battling and sparing monsters. Doing puzzles. She really good. I must say. We got to the raining part of waterfall. There were no umbrellas. Great just great. Frisk holds her hand over her self to try and shield from the rain. I took off my coat and put it on her. "There. That should keep you warm" she was surprised. Frisk: "are you sure?" I nodded. The water wont do anything to me. I know how to heat my self up. After all I still have the fire burns from toriel. As we were walking frisk saw a statue. It has rain pouring on it. Frisk saw a umbrella. She grab it and gave it to the statue. There goes our only umbrella. But than I hear music coming from the statue. The music. It was sad. Like it was about the monsters pain. We stand there for awhile. I grab the umbrella. I hold it over us. I wipe away the tears that I hope frisk know are rain drops. We keep walking until we ran into monster kid again. Monster kid: "found you! This time. I'm not going to let you past!" He really pushing it. I summon my knife. "Let me handle this" than frisk stop me. Frisk: "don't you think this is a weird place to battle at. If you battle here than you will slip over and over. That would mess things up right?" I guess she has a point. I nearly tip alot. Lucky I have shoes on. Monster kid: "your right i guess. Than I'll have to meet you somewhere up a head! You better not run away!" Than he ran. "How did you do that?" Frisk: "I just spoke what I had in mind" man she really nice. It make her look cute. Damn it! I really should stop saying that! As we continue we got to the end of this place. There no path forwards. Frisk: "where do we go?" I look up. There a ledge not to far from us. I grab frisk and threw her up there. I than jump up there. Frisk: "how did you throw me?" I forgot that i can do that. "I used my own strength. I may look like this but I am tough" we keep on walking until we made it to another wooden platforms. We got do the end. "Damn it. I thought they were done with this path" Than I hear loud foot steps. I know those foots steps. "No" we look to where they are coming from. She here. Toriel: "so. Asriel was right. There is another human here. Why are you with this human chara?" I couldn't speak. I'm still scared after all these years. Frisk step infront of me. Frisk: "I asked her to come. That why she here" why is she talking. There no way to convince her. Toriel: "child. Step away from chara. This is family business" she still stand infront of me. "What are you doing!" Her face. There not a since hint of fear. Frisk: "I'm not going to let you get hurt again!" Why? Why is she so nice to me? Toriel: "child. Step aside. I'm only going to warn you once" frisk didnt move. Toriel: "than you leave me no choice" she summons fire ball and throw it at frisk. It hit her straight at the chest. I was able to grab them and they were send back. "Frisk!!" Boogie: "frisk!!" Boogie summon his little pellets and send them at her. They were brun before they hit her. Toriel: "I warn her. Now chara" I was holding onto frisk. Her hp is 10. She still breath. Good. Lucky she still have my coat on or that fire ball would have killed her. Boogie: "chara! We need a plan now!" What should i do! Than I words in my head. You can protect her. I know what I must do. I hold up frisk. Frisk:"chara?" This is the only way. "You have been nice to me. Now it my turn to protect you" than I threw her infront of me. She try to grab out to me. Frisk: "chara!!" Than she fall down. I turn around to face my mother. Toriel: "I was going to kill them my self. But I guess you did it for me" i summon my knifes. I cant feel any fear. Toriel: "oh? Are you going to fight me? You do know that you wont win?" I smriked. "I know. Maybe I'll die. But I'll sure as hell give it my all!!" She summon her staff. Toriel: "more disrespect! I'll have to punish you more!!" I used to be scared of her. But now I'm not. Because I have something to protect! I dash at her. Frisk. I dont know if you will hear this but. I'm glad to have met someone who been in the same pain I went through. If I die. I want you to know. That you saved me

Chara: "there we go! All done!"
Frisk: "liquid will be happy that we got the next chapter done for him!"
Charisk: "well i mean he just leaves his stuff there so I dont see any harm doing it for him"
Chara: "hey watch this. "Liquid like chocolate"
Frisk: "come on chara. Dont play with his things. You will get us in trouble you know!"
