CHAPTER 10 - It's still a happily ever after :)

Inisang lagok ni Gerald ang brandy na laman ng kanyang baso.Pagkarating na pagkarating niya kanina ay agad siyang dumiretso sa wine bar ng kanilang bahay ni hindi pa nga siya nakakapagbihis.He needed a drink.Baka sakaling mawala ang sakit na naramdaman niya sa mga sandaling iyon.Naaalala na naman niya ang ang eksena sa pagitan nila ni Destiny kanina lamang.Hindi niya ito masisisi kung ganun man ang pakikitungo nito sa kanya.He hurt her big time.He deserve those cold treatment from her.Napayuko siya at nasabunutan ang kanyang sarili.

                What have I done? What have I done? yun ang mga katagang paulit-ulit na umaalingawngaw sa kanyang isipan.

                “Since when you become a drunkard?” napaunat siya ng upon g marinig ang tinig ng kanyang lolo.

                “Lo” he acknowledge him.Umupo ito sa kanyang tabi.

                “Problem?” he just sighed at tumango.

                “Babae ba?” napatingin siya dito.

                “How did you know?”

                “Instinct.Malayo namang trabaho ang problema dahil kahit kalian di ka nagpaapekto sa pressure sa trabaho at  mas lalong hindi pamilya dahil maayos na maayos ang pamilya natin.Heart problem?” tanong nito.Tumango lang siya.

                “What happen?”

                “I push her away and now Im hurting so much.Stupid me!” hindi na niya napigilan ang mapaluha dahil sa sobrang sakit na nararamdaman o dahil na rin sa nahaluan na ng alcohol ang kanyang sistema kaya nagiging emosyonal na siya.Napatitig sa kanya ang kanyang abuelo.

                “Is it Destiny?” tumango lang ulit siya.

                “She’s really special.Why did you push her away?”

                “Im not the right man for her. She’s so young and I don’t want her to regret her decision because I let her pursue me. I don’t want to takeadvantage on her.Yes,she’s very a special girl that’s why I don’t want to hurt her if she keeps pursuing me.And maybe I deserve this kind of pain because even if I don’t want to, I hurted her again” hinawakan nito ang kanyang balikat.

                “Hijo,there’s no perfect in love.If you love,you should prepare yourself to be hurt that’s why she keeps on pursuing you.She’s too strong and brave enough to take the risk of getting hurt because she loves you.She choosed you,Gerald.Kahit alam niyang masasaktan lang siya.We have two options in life,its either we try,get hurt yet happy or we never try,get hurt and regret for the rest of your life.In your case,you choosed the second option but it’s not too late.You can stil win her back and be happy” mahabang payo nito.Umiling siya.

                “It’s too late,lo.She hated me so much.And I can’t blame her if she feel that way towards me” sumusukong sagot niya sa abuelo.

                “Try to ask yourself,naibigay mo na ba lahat ng effort mo just to win her back?”

                Napaisip siya.His lolo is right.may magagawa pa siya.he needs to do something.He doesn’t want to regret for the rest of his life without even trying.

                “She still love you.Masyado lang siyang nasaktan.Do your best to win her heart back.She’s a wonderful girl and I know she can make you happy.Dont loose hope,apo” tinapik pa nito at tumayo na at iniwan siya.He promise his self to do his best just to make destiny love her again.
