"Don't you dare!" Dad said and started to pull mom away from the door strongly. My defensive mode kicks in. I pull dad by his shoulder with all my might so that he'll face me and I throw a punch on his face. Blood splatters from his lips and he falls down to the floor. I can't believe myself at the amount of strength I had unleashed. Mom looks worried immediately but she didn't help dad. Instead, she pulls me along with her out the door of the house.

We quickly rush to my car. And only seconds later, I drove away from the house. Mom is crying in the passenger's seat. I didn't ask her anything. I didn't even know what to say. She just told me to drive her to the place where she always went for her dancing class. When we got there, I met Aiden. It turns out that Aiden is mom's boyfriend. And she never has any dancing class. She only went there to meet him. He seems like a nice enough guy though. I guess what I can make out from their bits of conversation is that dad found out about them. I couldn't blame mom though. Dad's a jerk. If she can find her happiness being with someone else, I should also be happy for her.
