Rosalinda's POV
I was in the middle of my office, working on some unfinished paperwork when I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in!" I yelled.
I continued on the paperwork when I heard the door open and shut.
Rosalinda, can we talk?" A pleading voice said.
Not looking up from the papers I said,
"What is there to talk about David?"
"Us," he replied.
"Us?"
I looked straight at him,
"Yea, I know that I rejected you, but I was wondering if I could get a second chance?" He said.
"A second chance?" I asked.
"Yea, this way you could be mine, and we can be happy. I wish I never reject Rosalinda! Please take me back, I lo-"
"NO! You don't love me! If you had ever loved me, you would have never rejected me! You want me now because I'm skinnier, taller and prettier! I CRIED EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, IN HOPES YOU WOULD TRY LOOKING FOR ME! BUT YOU NEVER DID!! So no I will NOT give you a second chance! Now get out of my off-" I was cut off by David's lips crashing into mine.
He shoved his tough into my mouth, and I couldn't feel more disgusted. There was no sparks, no butterflies in my stomach. Nothing. I tried pushing him away, but failed because he had pushed me into a corner.
-Micheal, Jake! Come to my office now! David's here, and he is kissing me! Get him off me!- I called.
Seconds later, the door busted open and David was ripped off of me.
I couldn't be more grateful.
"What were you doing mutt!?!" Snarled Micheal.
"I was kissing my mate. And a matter of fact, we were enjoying it until you came and ruined it." Smirked David.
Enjoyed?! Eww! I've never been more disgusted in my life.
"Then why did Rosalinda call us through the mind link to come?" Replied Jake.
David had a confused look on his face.
"What? She enjoyed it, didn't you Rosalinda?" He asked me.
I shook my head, "No, I hated it."
"That's not possible! I'm your mate, you're supposed to enjoy any contact with me!" He yelled as he stormed out of my office.
Jake turned to me, "you really didn't feel any sparks?" He asked.
"Nope." I said. "I actually feel quite disgusted."
It was Micheal's turn to talk, " I've haven't heard of this since..." He trailed off.
"Since?" I asked.
"Okay so about 20 years ago, The Queen of Supernaturals, Queen Marisol, was rejected by her mate. She was devastated. She tried committing suicide but thought better of it, since she was Queen. Because of the rejection of her mate, she was depressed. She was also a rare white wolf like you. Her mate came back in hopes of regaining her love, but as they touched she felt nothing. No sparks, no love, nothing. They don't know exactly how that happened, but it was if they were never mates." He explained.
I've heard of that story before, but never thought much of it.
"We need to call the Council." I stated.
They nodded and I proceeded to call them. On the 4 ring they answered.
"Hello?"
"Hello Elder Marcus." I replied.
"How's it going Alpha Rosalinda?"
"Pretty good Elder and you?" I asked
"Pretty good as well. May I ask what this phone call is about?"
"I have some questions for you and the Council."
"Okay, they are here with me. So ask away." He said
So I told him everything that had happened ever since I was with The Night Shadow Pack up until now.
"So we were wondering if we could get some answers as to why I don't feel any sort of connection to David." I told him.
"Well that is really interesting Alpha. Unfortunately, I don't have any answers to your questions. I can however, place a meeting for you and the Queen of Supernaturals if you'd like."
"Me? Meet the.. Queen!? Umm, sure. I'd really appreciate that Elder." I said
"Okay, it's set. You will meet with the Queen tomorrow at noon."
"Okay thank you Elder for your help. I highly appreciated it! Talk to you soon, Bye!" I told him.
"Bye Alpha Rosalinda."
I hung up, and looked to see Jake and Micheal with their mouths open.
"Well boys, we're meeting the Queen tomorrow. Pack your stuff cuz we leave at 6 am tomorrow. I'll arrange for someone to be in charge of the packs for tomorrow." I said.
"We're mee-ting th-e Quee-n tomorrow?" They asked me.
"Of course, I need my two favorite men to come with me." I smiled at them.
They nodded and Jake left the office, leaving me with Micheal. He sat down in a chair and extended his arms.
"Come here babe," he told me.
I excitedly jumped into his lap. As our skin made contact, I felt sparks throughout my body. I gasped,
"Did you feel that?" I asked surprised.
"It felt as if we were.. Mates?"he said bewildered.
"This day keeps getting weirder and weirder." I said as I smacked my hand against my forehead.
"It sure is sweetheart. But soon we will have answers. Now lets go get Bianca and put her to sleep. We also have to get to bed. we had a big day ahead of us."
I nodded and we headed upstairs to find Bianca sound asleep. i looked at Micheal confused
"She started crying, so I gave her a bottle. And put her down to sleep."
Said Jake
"Thanks Jake, I don't know what I would without you!" I said while running over to hug him. "Alright,well we're heading to bed," i bent down to give Bianca a kiss on the forehead, "Goodnight, my sweet princess."
"Goodnight Jake," I said while ruffling up his hair on the way out.
Micheal and I walked into our bedroom, and once my head hit the pillow, I fell into a dreamless sleep...
