Jisoo woke up first, she could still feel the brunette hugging her. She was even closer now and snuggling into her chest.
It was the first time in a long time they woke up together and were wearing clothes. It felt peaceful and comfortable. A lazy morning as Jisoo eventually slipped away. Jennie was still holding her as she moved and her face scrunched up in dismay.
Jisoo chuckled and broke free. She went to the shower first and then sat in the living room. She decided to use the time to memorise the upcoming scene she had to act out.
She opened the folder and began reading. In her head the characters were automatically replaced and she could see herself with Jennie.
The two were going strong even though they occasionally had a few arguments. They mostly stem from misunderstandings, jealousy or being overscheduled.
Jisoo felt bad for missing out on a date because she auditioned and got a role in an advertisement. It was a big thing for her because she acted with Lee Minho.
Jennie assured her she was fine and that she is proud of her, she is definitely not jealous of someone who could be her father. She cringed as she said that and so did Jisoo.
Jisoo was getting busy and so was Jennie who just won a competition with a cyberpunk plot for a short film. At the campus they were a popular couple and both received a fair share of confessions which they declined politely.
Everything was perfect until Jisoo's job offers and model gigs were getting to her head. She started being less attentive and was occupied with her phone more than with her girlfriend.
"Babe, what dress are you wearing for the dinner later?"
Jisoo looked up from her phone. "Sorry I completely forgot about that. I already had plans with my friends."
Which meant her snob of actor friends.
Jennie sighed dejectedly but didn't protest as Jisoo left early.
Jisoo stopped reading. This is not what happened! She immediately searched for a pen and crossed everything out to write the correct and true version.
The two were going strong until Jisoo admittedly allowed a tiny taste of success to make her feel more confident but she never ignored her girlfriend and she always made up for it when she missed a date!
Just like that dinner date her girlfriend arranged for them, she didn't forget it and she had no plans with her friends.
She lied to her so she could surprise her. She left her home and went to her car giggling along the way as her eyes glanced at the dozens of daisies in the back of her car.
The dinner date was a double date with Joohyun and Seulgi, so Jisoo bribed Seulgi to make sure Jennie will definitely come even if she thinks she has no partner.
Jisoo was already waiting at the location, which was the rooftop of a hotel. She laid the daisies on the ground in a huge heart shape. In the middle of it were two chairs and a table. The table was decorated with candles petals, wine and bread.
Jisoo was wearing a tight black dress because it was Jennie's favourite. She waited five hours but no one arrived.
So then-
"What are you doing?" Jennie asked from behind her, making Jisoo flinch and drop the pen.
Jisoo regained her composure in a flash and tossed the stack of papers at Jennie.
"Correcting these lies!"
"Lies?" Jennie took hold of it and observed the doodles the actress made all over the paper.
"Yeah!" Jisoo frowned. "You can read the true version." She patted the seat beside her and made the director sit.
Jennie shuffled next to her and started reading as Jisoo stared at her anticipatingly.
Jennie laughed once she was done. "Chu, you wrote that you didn't drink the last drop of milk and put the empty carton back in the fridge."
"Because I didn't. I kept telling you it was the dog!" Jisoo nodded her head furiously.
"My mom's dog opened the fridge, took the milk out, drank from it and then put it back?" Jennie arched a brow.
"It doesn't sound likely but it's possible..." Jisoo mumbled, folding her arms.
"You also wrote that you never burned the kitchen down in attempt to bake a cake for me as congratulatory gift." Jennie chuckled.
"Okay, that one was true but you don't have to tell everyone." Jisoo blushed.
"Well it was cute. I mean the thought not the fire." Jennie kissed her cheek instinctively.
Jisoo froze afterwards and with the lack of reaction Jennie also stopped moving. Maybe this was too much and too fast. They agreed that she would court her first.
"U-Uh, sorry.." She fumbled, placing the folder on the table.
"I-It's okay..." Jisoo shook her head, pursing her lips.
"So.... I guess there are always two sides to a coin." Jennie mumbled.
"Or two pages but never the same book..." Jisoo added.
"I was just saying, no need to go emotional." Jennie teased, bumping their shoulders together.
"I wasn't." Jisoo defended with red cheeks.
They both had different views and it was hard to say who was right and who was wrong. From their perspective both were right, they just lacked the vision of the other. They should have talked more instead of being subtle.
That's in the past now and all they can do is not repeat that mistake.
