Since Mino resigned himself, neither Jennie or Jisoo got into trouble. However the drama was changed for the third time and now they were already filming for over a year.
It felt like they would never be done at this point. Would their work ever see the light of the day?
"It's still so cool that you got Kim Taehyung filling Mino's place. Even with the new script he said yes." Jisoo said amazed as Jennie was putting dumpling soup into her plate.
"He's an old friend." Jennie shrugged, sitting beside her and picking up her spoon. "Plus I know he is actually respectful..."
"Thanks." Jisoo placed a kiss on Jennie's cheek and flashed her a smile. Then she used her spoon and tasted the soup. "It's great as always."
"You are great." Jennie smiled, eating as well.
"You are great." Jisoo bumped her shoulder against Jennie's and chuckled.
"Great enough to be your girlfriend?" Jennie pouted.
Jisoo pursed her lips and Jennie sighed, regretting the question.
"I understand." Jennie nodded her head, disappointed.
Jisoo put her spoon down and turned to the other, squishing her left cheek between her thumb and index finger.
"I didn't say no." Jisoo said softly.
"What does it take for you to say yes...? I really like you." Jennie looked up at her as Jisoo retracted her hand.
"I like you too." Jisoo bobbed her head, a small smile on her lips. "You are my first love."
Jennie smiled and rested her head on Jisoo's shoulder while searching for her hand under table. Once found, she clasped their hands.
"I can't be your girlfriend because we are working together." Jisoo clarified, squeezing her hand apologetically. "My manager said it wouldn't be wise."
"I don't mind if you want to keep it a secret." Jennie mumbled.
"I wouldn't want to do that you." Jisoo shook her head.
"We can keep it a secret until you built your career. By then, you wouldn't be fazed by backlash." Jennie told her.
"What about you?" Jisoo arched a brow.
"It's different for me, I'm a writer, they don't care whom I date." Jennie shrugged. "What do you say?"
Jisoo thought about it. By now her hesitance was gone, she could feel that Jennie was sincere and serious. She wouldn't regret taking her hand.
"I'd say... yes..." Jisoo mumbled shyly.
"Yes?" Jennie pulled away to get a better look at Jisoo and saw her blushing and glancing down. "Yes!" She cheered and hugged the actress.
Jisoo giggled as she returned the hug.
Soon they told all of their friends and Jennie's siblings about their relationship. They confided in them, so they would help them hide it if necessary.
Haein also stopped advising Jisoo that it was a bad idea because he could see her mind was set in stone.
It went by fine and peaceful until they started to bicker. They felt a scene of nostalgia at the way their relationship developed quickly. However this time it was negative. It reminded them of their last fight and how they never cleared it up.
It was in the middle of the promotion pre-airing when they fought over attending an award ceremony for dramas and films.
"Why do I have to go with him as my date? Our characters are dating, not us." Jisoo frowned, folding her arms on her hips.
