Jennie was acting completely intolerable. Apparently she had to cut Jisoo off at every second scene to tell her to redo it, again and again. At this pace they will never leave the filming site.
How long does an average drama take for filming anyway? When Jisoo asked Haein he said it differs but normally it takes eight days per episode. Since the drama has 12 episodes, Jisoo will have to endure more than 96 days of this torment.
"Cut!" Jennie interrupted Jisoo. "That's enough for now. We are taking a break."
The staff, including the ones in charge of camera and light let out a relieved sigh and left the set.
Jisoo just frowned, gritting her teeth as she stared angrily at Jennie. Is she playing with her? If she can believe what Lisa said she would think no, she just works very strictly.
Haein came up to Jisoo and offered her a water bottle and towel which she accepted. Although she was still staring at the back of Jennie's head. She could hear her argue with Joohyun about something.
"Do you think I did well?" Jisoo asked her mentor.
"I believe so. You just seemed a bit tense at times, you need to completely let loose. And try not to glance at the director." He exclaimed.
"She is just so infuriating. She used to be much cuter..." Jisoo pouted.
"Are you seriously sulking over that?" Haein judged, raising his eyebrows at her.
Jisoo then realised what she just said, feeling embarrassed as her cheeks brightened. "N-No... Of course not. Pft!"
"Good. Because she isn't either. Whatever went down between the two of you, you need to forget it for as long as the filming takes." Haein told her seriously.
Jisoo sighed, glancing once more at Jennie who was in a heated discussion with her sister.
She never imagined Jennie would actually be a director the next time she met her.
"I watched some of your plays on the campus. It's cool that you are leading the theater group. So do you actually want to become an actress?" Jennie asked curiously.
"I will become an actress." Jisoo nodded, her lips curving into a smile. She spoke with so much certainty it made Jennie smile too.
"Like these ones?" Jennie referred to the screen in front of them that was playing trailers and advertisements before the film started.
"Yeah exactly like that one." Jisoo pointed to the screen as it showed a trailer of a webtoon turned drama, starring Jung Haein. "My dad likes his dramas. We are also fans of Natalie Portman."
"Hm," Jennie offered Jisoo her salted popcorn and placed it between them. "You have the charisma, I believe you can do it."
"Do you have a favourite actor or actress?" Jisoo asked as she grabbed for the bucket of popcorn and plopped a few into her mouth.
"....Song Kang I guess? And as for favourite actress, I will reserve that spot for you." She smiled, her cheeks puffing up and causing Jisoo's heart to skip a beat.
"Such an honour. I won't let you down." Jisoo grinned, grabbing for the bucket again but this time their hands met.
Instead of being surprised and turning all shy, Jisoo decided to not remove her hand. She peeked at Jennie from the corner of her eyes and still saw her smiling, she didn't look uncomfortable.
Therefore Jisoo filled the gaps between her soft fingers with her own. She felt her turn a bit tense until Jisoo's palm was covering the entire back of her hand.
Her hands were much smaller than Jisoo's, they were so very cute. The raven's heart felt content holding her like this.
The hall suddenly turned dark as the empty seats were filled. The film is starting.
"I want to write a screenplay and I want you to star in it." Jennie said quietly.
Jisoo turned her head and trained her eyes on her side profile. She couldn't see much except those fluffy cheeks and her sparkling eyes, even in the dimmed room.
That's right, Jennie is studying literature, Jisoo thought.
"Yeah let's make that happen." Jisoo whispered, her mouth moving to Jennie's earlobe.
The brunette seemed to have swallowed and held her breath.
Jisoo who believed she was reading her correctly, planted a kiss on the corner of her mouth. The hand that she was covering wiggled a bit, trying to hold Jisoo's hand in return.
She let the gentle kiss linger until she felt that Jennie was breathing again.
Jisoo's smile became even wider and she sat back on her seat properly. They were still holding hands, a bit tighter than before.
Jennie was quick to use her other hand and brought her coke to her mouth, sucking on the straw.
Jisoo didn't need to look at her to know she was having a silly smile on her face, because Jisoo had the same.
"Let's go."
When Jisoo snapped back to reality Haein wasn't there anymore. In his place Jennie was standing in front of her with an impatient and grumpy expression.
"What?"
"I said let's go, you are having a chemistry test with the male lead." Jennie seemed especially annoyed while she spoke to Jisoo and occasionally turned to Joohyun like she wasn't done arguing with her.
Now Jisoo wonders what they were bickering about... Wait. Did Jennie just say chemistry test? With the male lead? And she is taking Jisoo there? What?
"I said, let's go." Jennie repeated sternly and gripped Jisoo's wrist.
Jisoo stilled, her body rigidly moving after Jennie. Her wrist was burning under Jennie's firm touch. Why is she holding her like this??
"You don't need to hold me, I can walk just fine..." Jisoo muttered, not putting up an effort to pull her arm away though.
Jennie didn't turn around, nor respond, she kept walking, and she kept her firm hold on her. She is starting to confuse Jisoo a lot. If only she could read that mind of hers.
