THE NEXT MORNING...

We all woke up at the crack of dawn and started to pack for the trip. I was still tired, for I didn't sleep well from all the stress and my recent episode. Plus, I was scared of having nightmares of the battle and I didn't want to relive the memory, so I forced myself to stay awake half of the night. I think I annoyed my cousins after awhile of tossing and turning in their vehicle forms and switching between bots so they could take breaks. No matter, they did rather well in dealing with me and my restless night.
Ignoring my current exhaustion, I made sure IronLuck was strapped tightly to my backpack as I placed it upon my shoulders. We quickly make our way to the Autobots, who were parked in their vehicle modes in the street. Everyone, including me, all climbed into Bee and we immediately drove off.

A few hours out and we were crossing through a different and bigger city. I sat quietly in the back seat across from Mikaela, staring out the window. Sam and Leo sat up front and was supposedly discussing about this other human we were planning on finding to exchange information. Apparently, according to Leo, he's some nut-job who owned a website about proof of aliens and their activity and that Leo had some kind of cyber history of an online fued for their information.
"Robo-Warrior, knows everything about anything alien. We revenged-hacked his website once and I may have seen some of your alien drawings." Leo explained to Sam.
Sounds like someone with an obsession to the Autobots, but who?
What was funny was that Leo was just as obsessed, but now that he's with the real deal, he at times seemed to almost regret it. The look of fear on his face that he gave from periodic times made me a little tickled. His adventure of torture and cowardice helped me humor my thoughts as I rested my face into my hand and watched the scenery pass by as we drove.
This was the most I've been outside of the base and been riding around the area for awhile, that it almost felt like my trip with Optimus to meet Sam, but of course that wasn't the case.
Only thinking about it made it worse and I felt horrible all over again. I tried to hide my feelings so no one could see, my only guess Bumblebee sensed something as I felt my seatbelt tug on it's own again. I uttered a soft sigh and leaned my head fully against the window, holding my seatbelt against me in response for comfort.

"You doing ok back there?"

I look over at the front and met Sam's green eyes in the rearview mirror. He looked concerned again and I hated it. I hate this pity parade he's giving me. All it did was remind me of home at the base and a part of me missed it, not that I missed Major Lennox and Team N.E.S.T, but they were always there. Because of that, the other half was glad to somehow be free from there and wished to never go back. I ignored Sam and rolled my eyes back to the window. I didn't feel like talking to anyone as of right now.
Maybe I should've stayed with one of the twins. I thought as I watched them drive behind us from the front side mirror.

The seatbelt tugged again and I gripped onto it tighter. A few minutes later, Bee drove around one more corner and halted in front of a sketchy and old meatmarket.
We got out and all went inside and I immediatly felt the urge to hide. The place was tiny and full of people, some turned to us as a response to the doorbell and turned back around, some were too focused on waiting in line, and a few others stared at us strangely for an uncomfortable amount of time before minding their business again. An older, but shady, looking man smiled down at me and I shivered.
I shrink at the prying eyes and grab onto something for to obscure myself from the crowd, only I had accidentally wrapped my hands something warm and of soft flesh. I find to see my hands around Sam's arm and he looked down and gave me a reassuring nod. The skin of my hands and face felt hot and I became upset, letting him go quickly.

Kiaria! Don't touch him! Don't touch any of them! What on Earth made you do that?! I don't know! He was just there! Not like I was paying attention! I gave Sam a warning look as I argued with myself. Don't think anything of that, boy! He can't be trusted! Sam looked away at my invisible threat, but I'm sure he got the message from my obvious expression.
"It's him! That's the guy!" Leo got worked up and shouted, pointing to a worker behind the bar.

An older man with dark black hair and eyes, and also caramel skin, dressed in a chef's outfit, turned his attention towards us and stopped on Sam. His face went from a bored and tired expression, to a state of disbelief and anger.
"No." The man's tone matched his face then turned quickly to the other customers. "No!"
"Store's closed! Everybody out!" He shouted.
"You know him?" I asked out loud as I watched the man freak out to everyone in the building and ushered them out.
"You could say we're old friends." Sam shrugged awkwardly, but the word 'friends' didn't sound so genuine on his remark.
"For real?!" Leo freaked the same way as the man. "Old friends with Robo-Warrior?!"
"Please. You are the case that shut down Sector Seven." The man then said to Sam and stomped over towards us.
Sector what?
"They got your faces all over the news, kids." He said. "

"Except for her, who are you?"

The man spotted me and I stepped back from him and put my hands around the straps of my backpack nervously.
"This Kiaria, or Kia, if you will. She knew them, too." Sam only said, nodding his head slightly in my direction.
The man's eyes go wide and he bends down to my level and leaning real close to me, causing me to unclip my knife in defense and hold it in one hand. I wielded the blade towards his chest, posing how I was trained to, and ready to strike at any given moment. He looks down cautiously at my knife at his chest plate and looks back up at me and smirks strangely and chuckles.
"I know those moves. I know those symbols upon that little box cutter of yours, too. I know you." He said and his eyes wondered back and forth from IronLuck and my deathly stare.
"You're the new little side project aren't you? Oh, they thought I wouldn't know about that, sooner or later, but I have my ways. They can't hide the truth from me even when my entire life's career was about nothing but the truth."
My breath sharpened and my hand shook. I know Ironhide only told me to use my knife in defense, but I was seriously reconsidering.

"How do you-?" But I was cut off by the man.

"Later. I'm guessing with all the commotion, N.B.E. One's still kicking, huh?" The man asked Sam.

N.B.E. One? Oh...Megatron...
I frowned.
"No. Don't answer. You're hiding something and I want nothing to do with it. You never saw me and you need to leave. Now."
"I need your help." Sam said.
"Oh, really?" The man's sarcasm rang through the air.
"Look, I'm slowly losing my mind. I was kidnapped by the Decepticons and had a little crab bot plunged a device deep into the soft tissues of my brain amd started projecting little alien symbols like a weird home movie!" Sam started to freak on his explaination.
If I wasn't raised by these very aliens myself, I would've thought he'd really went nuts. "It's...it's true." I had reluctantly backed him up and everyone looked at me. "I was there, helping rescuing him. Optimus and I..."
I paused to cover my mouth, because my voice cracked at the sudden grief, and I held back the emotions so I wouldn't cry again in front of everyone again. Sam only nodded as a thanks for the witness and turned back to the man. I leaned against the wall and thought best to keep to myself.
"On top of that, we're wanted fugitives. Kia only remains with us because she can't go back home with them. I should also advise not to get too close or touch her and don't let her age fool you, she's deadlier than she looks. Think you might know that by now, too."
The man leans past Sam to give me a confused expression. I stared him down as I fiddled with my knife as a distraction, raising my eyebrows in response. No joke, buster. I will gut you if you try anything funny. The boy is a quick learner.

He rolled his eyes and leaned back to Sam, "You said it projected images from your brain?"
"Yes." Sam answered.
"Follow me. Now!" The man then shouted and walked behind the counter.
Sam and them followed in pursuit, I hesitantly followed behind as well.
This man better have the answers we're looking for. We're going to find a way to fix this and stop the Decepticons. Optimus. I promise you I'm trying, for this is the farthest I ever gone alone. I wish you were still here.
