"Are you serious, Luna?" I said, bewildered that she would be acting as a mother to the unfortunate child, "Do you know how much responsibility it is to take care of a kid? And I'm not talking about how we were brought up."
Our eleven other siblings, as well as Luna and I, had been raised by nannies and tutors. Yes, I am the second oldest of thirteen.
"I'm positive, Jacalyn. This is the best chance for John."
I rolled my eyes, "You really are crazy. Hey, Mom and Dad still don't know I'm gone yet?"
"They are never home to realize that there is only twelve of us."
"And..." Luna started, "I may or may not know why Tad is in the area..."
"Why?" I asked, hesitating, "Luna, what are you up to?"
"I might have invited him to star in Dad's new movie, and I might be in it, too?"
I blinked, not sure whether to be furious or glad, or even excited.
