Send. I shut my bright pink flip phone and turned back to the triplets. John was held in my arm, sleeping peacefully, but Josh and Thalia were wailing as Mother and Father walked them around. Well, Father walked them around. Mother just quietly watched, looking at me, worried. She knew that I had formed a bond with John, but she was thinking of giving him away. I thought that wasn't fair. Giving away a child just because of a disability? No one else would want him.
I seemed to be the only one that wanted John. Cute little John. His hair was blond and his eyes were blue, like mine. Thalia's hair was a shade of Jack's, auburn, but with a brown tint to it. Josh already had bright red hair! The other two had blue eyes, like John's and mine, but their irises were more defined. John's were milky and the color blended with the white.
I knew that if I wanted to keep John, he would be my responsibility. Completely and totally mine. And I didn't care. He was the most wonderful thing on the planet.
