"nie nicht"
-never not-

- 2 years & 7 months later -

Cherry blossoms flew with the silent wind, scattering the pink petals over the pearly white sheets. The sky was a bright blue, wispy clouds dragging along to the light tune of the piano. The scent of flowers filled the expanse, roses and cherry blossoms littering the grass. Pearly white chairs and tables decorated the expanse, white silk draped over them.

A couple stood on the small stage, bowing down as they received the blessings of their elders, engagement rings shining under the bright Sun. They turned to each other, peaceful smiles on their faces as they slowly walked down, hands intertwined. They let out a happy aura, bathing in the satisfaction of being with each other.

Six males approached them as smiles bloomed on their faces. The shorter of the two engulfed them in a hug, finding the solace, that he would only get with his brother's hug, at the moment. He stepped back, letting the men ruffle his hair and congratulate them.

"You've grown up so much, Junnie." A brunette said, a gummy smile on his face. He shook hands with the taller of the duo, handing them a gift as he stood back, watching the two.

"Yoongi's right." A taller male said, "And you've grown up beautifully too." He finished as he handed them another gift, congratulating them. The others followed suit, laughing among themselves as they talked about their memories.

The ravenette of the group slipped away, finding a chair and sitting down, a glass of wine in his hand. His soft eyes looked at the group, smiling as he realized how close they had all grown. The group had stayed together through thick and thin, refusing to give up or leave anyone behind. They held strong because they had to keep the legacy of the one who found them alive.

The ravenette smiled wider. That one person had still somehow stayed with all of them. Still being a part of their life and watching over them. At least that's what he liked to believe. He let his thoughts lead him away to his own world, letting his mind wander.

He didn't notice when Yeonjun approached him. He felt a hand over his shoulder and he broke out of his thoughts, looking at the younger. He smiled at him, the other returning it.

"Here, Hyung," Yeonjun said softly as he placed a book in his hands, walking away.

Jungkook stared after him, looking down at his lap and feeling the heavy weight of the book in his hands. He tilted it a bit, the first-page opening as he sucked in a breath. Somehow, the soft piano turned louder, a song flowing through the air and reaching him as he stared at the page.

"Taehyung..."

We were so beautiful
We were so tragic

The image stared back at him as he opened the album further. It was a picture of him and Taehyung, smiling into the camera of a photo booth. Their silly faces plastered over the glossy paper, shining back at him as his heart thumped painfully in his chest.

No other magic
 could ever compare

He flipped over the page, another set of memories swirling in his mind as he blankly stared at them. It was the two of them again, sitting in a cafe as sunlight filtered through the curtain sunset bouncing off their hair and painting them in a heavenly aura. They looked so in love and Jungkook found himself smiling softly at the scene.

Lost myself seventeen
Then you came found me

The next picture was of Taehyung and Jungkook at Jimin's graduation. The two were grinning as Jimin threw his cap into the air, cheering along with the other students. The moment was caught at the perfect time with the flying caps, smiles filling the image. Jungkook grinned as he flipped through the pages, reliving all his memories.

There's a room
In my heart
With the memories we made

A gentle gust of wind blew, turning a flew pages as Jungkook stared. The picture came into view as the page fell flat, revealing a picture Jungkook had cherished all these years. He felt tears fill his eyes as he looked at himself, holding Taehyung close to himself in this photo. The younger was tucked under his chin, cheeks and nose red due to the cold. They wore matching coats, scarfs wrapped around their necks.

Took 'em down
But they're still in their frames
There's no way I could ever forget

The pages were filled with their memories, good ones and bad ones. There was a picture taken after their first fight, the couple looking away with frowns on their faces as Seokjin snickered in the background. Jungkook smiled, a teardrop falling on the page as he felt himself go back in time, heart clenching. He couldn't ever forget that, not in this life and maybe, not even in the next.

For as long as I live
And as long as I love
I will never not think about you

Another breeze blew by as Jungkook traced the pictures, his fingertips gentle on Taehyung's face as tears streamed down his face. This was their song, the song they used to sing and dance along to. It was held carefully in a photograph, Jungkook twirling Taehyung as he laughed, his eyes closed. They had been each other's first loves, leaving behind the purest memories with the fondest smiles for him to remember.

From the moment I loved
I knew you were the one
And no matter whatever I do
I will never not think about you

There would be no other for Jungkook. No one else to love him the same. No one else to make him feel the same. He belonged to Taehyung, every piece, every breath. He was under the younger's spell, even in death. And Jungkook didn't want it any other way. He would continue to live for Taehyung, keeping him in his closest memories and knowing that he had met his true love, even if it was now lost.

What we had only comes
Once in a lifetime
For the rest of mine
I'll always compare

Jungkook smiled at the pictures, flipping through the pages with the fondest smile on his face, blurry eyes tracing the silhouette of his lover. Tears wet his cheeks, dropping onto the glossy pages and sliding off as he bit his lip. God, he missed Taehyung. He missed him so much. Even after all this time, after almost 3 years, he still stood where he did. Lonely. Defeated

Longing.

Didn't we have fun

Didn't we have funlooking back

He felt a hand on his shoulder as he turned, coming face to face with air. He looked around confused, tears drying on his cheeks as he tried to find what had touched him. His eyes widened as he spotted a slight movement, a silhouette clear in his eyes. The slight shadow wore the same coat, hands in its pocket as it smiled the boxy smile at Jungkook. The older looked dumbfounded, blinking his eyes to clear his vision as the shadow shook with mirth.

The shadow walked to him, leaning down and planting a kiss on his forehead as Jungkook closed his eyes. It could have been a delusion, but he couldn't bring himself to not believe what he was seeing. There were no tears in his eyes, no sadness in his heart for the first time. He felt at peace as the shadow cupped his face.

"I'm always here with you. I love you always."

And as soon as he heard the barely whispered words, the shadow broke away, disappearing into nothing. Jungkook closed his eyes, letting out a shuddering breath as he smiled. The road ahead would be tough. Healing would take time and it would even take all his energy and all his will. But now that he knew that Taehyung was here, now that he knew that he would never leave- He would give it all to heal.

Taehyung had longed all his life for love, not knowing how much he deserved it. He had loved passionately, going to every limit just to prove how much he had meant it. And now, it was Jungkook's turn. He would long for his own love too but he would never let go of the one who had become his salvation. They would still be tied with a string of faith too tight to break. They would still long for each other but that's just what it was- Sehnsucht: wistful longing.

And maybe, they would find each other in another life. Maybe their love story would finish, in another life...

"I love you too, Tae... always..."
