Scared.

Just 12 years old, being told nobody cares.
Speak his own opinion, something he would dare.
He needs a pillow on his window because he's so scared,
that somebody's watching, even though nobody's there.
He has to blast music in the shower, to drown out the noise,
of the door being slammed on and banged on, some genuine love he'd adore.
As this man screamed in the hall, boy was he scared.
Speak his own opinion, something he wouldn't dare.
He sat crying in the shower, then on the floor for an hour.
Scared to open the door, he was scared to get hit.
Now he can't escape the feeling, just a poor innocent kid.
