Chapter 18

rosé's pov

Jisoo and I walk into her house, hand in hand. Her Mom is sitting at the table, scribbling things onto a piece of paper. I smile a bit.

"Y'know Jisoo.. your mom is kinda hot. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree I guess." I whisper to the girl next to me. Jisoo gags.

"Shut up!" She punches me lightly in the arm. Jisoo's mom looks up and smiles warmly. "Oh, hi Rosie! It's been awhile since I've last saw you. Anything new?" She asks. I nod my head.

"Yes. Lots of things. I finally have a girlfriend so that's exciting." I say, proudly. Jisoo starts squirming next to me. Her mom puts two and two together and starts smiling. "Well I'm happy for you! And I'm assuming Jisoo is spending the night at your house?"

Damn. Her mom is smart.

"Yeah that was the plan. If that's alright with you, Mom.." Jisoo says. She looks at her mom with hopeful eyes. Eventually, her mom caves. "Alright. Have fun guys. Go get your things. But I want to talk to Rosé really fast."

She beckons me over, so I let go of Jisoo's hand and sit at the table. Jisoo bounds upstairs, a little worried.

"Rosé... I'm glad you make my daughter happy. Jisoo has had one other relationship in her life. That girl broke my daughters heart. Don't do the same thing. And if Jisoo is ever giving you a hard time, come to me." Her mom says to me. I laugh a little.

"Mrs. Kim, you don't have to worry about me. I would never intentionally hurt Jisoo. I've liked her for awhile. And I will come to you if Jisoo has any problems. You're her mom. You deserve to know. Also I got her an interview at my boutique for tomorrow. She most likely will get the job."

"Thank you. I've been getting on her ass about a job for a while."

Jisoo comes down a couple minutes later and walks over to me. "Okay, I'm ready. Let's go." She pulls me up and walks me over to the door.

"Bye Mom! Love you!" She shouts. Mrs. Kim just laughs.

We get in the car and drive off towards my house. It's silent for awhile, with the music playing quietly in the background. I break the silence.

"By the way.. I've been by myself at home for the past couple days. My mom is 'off on business' and my dad has been awol for like... 2 weeks. So we don't have to deal with either of them." I tell the girl sitting next to me. She stares at me.

"You mean you've been alone for an extended period of time and you never told me?" She asks, clearly a bit upset. I shrug my shoulders. "I'm okay, Jisoo. I really am. I just didn't want you to worry. I'm a big girl." I reassure her. Jisoo just slumps back in her seat.

"You don't have to do that, y'know. You don't have to put a facade. I know you're sad about your home life. But I'm here for you. And so are Jennie and Lisa." She tells me. I squeeze her hand in response.

The rest of the drive, I have one hand on the wheel and the other holding Jisoo's hand. It's really soft. We pull into my driveway and get out after I park.

"Okay... you ready for some math?" I ask, excitedly. Jisoo just gives me a blank stare. "I would rather jump off a bridge than study for this math test. Let's just like... drop out and become strippers."

I scoff and hit her on the head while unlocking my door. "We aren't going to do that, babe. Come on, it will be a breeze. And you will pass."

~time skip 4 hours~

"Okay... that wasn't that bad was it?" I ask the girl next to me, who's already falling asleep. At this point it's like almost midnight. She mumbles something about breaking up with me and I chuckle. Homie must really hate math.

My stomach growls like an empty cave and I realize how hungry I am. First, I tuck Jisoo into my bed covers. Then I run over to the kitchen, desperate for some food. I make myself a bowl of cereal and some toast.

After putting my dishes in the sink, I brush my teeth, wash my face and get into some pajamas before getting into bed with Jisoo. She immediately gets closer to me. I sigh, wondering how I got into this position so quickly.
