chapter 8

rosé's pov

Jisoo and I bike down to the cat café. It's quiet, but not awkward. It's a comfortable silence. I'm glad we're able to be comfortable with each other. Makes this crush/tutor thing a hell of a lot easier.

We quickly make our way to the cafe and we lock our bikes on the bike rack to make sure no one steals them. Heading inside, we're greeted by a sweet calico cat. I bend down and give the cat head scratches. She meows and runs off after a little while.

Jisoo looks at me. "I can set up the books and you can go some drinks and stuff if you want." I smile and nod my head. "Sure. I'll be there soon" I turn around to order some drinks and some cat treats. I get both of us a strawberry smoothie and grab the treats before walking over to Jisoo.

She looks up and smiles at me. fuck.

"So... shall we get started?" I ask her, while picking up a kitten. She nods and grabs a pencil. After a little while of her cutely getting frustrated with math and me laughing and explaining, Jisoo finally understood her homework.

We both put our homework away and decide to play with the cats and talk.

"So..." Jisoo starts, while snatching a kitten. "Do you and Jennie just wanna start eating lunch with us everyday now?"

I do a double take. "Wait.. really? Sure that would be really cool!" I'm acting casual but in reality, I'm freaking out. "Wait until I tell Jennie, she'll fre..." I say before I shut my mouth. Jisoo laughs.

"She'll freak? Is that because she's lowkey in love with Lisa or..." She says. I gasp.

"How'd you know??" I ask her, my eyes nearly bugging out of my head. She sighs. "Listen, you guys aren't exactly quiet. At least, Jennie isn't. She's super loud. It's actually quite shocking." Jisoo explains. I laugh.

"Don't worry." She continues. "Lisa quite likes Jennie too. We should set them up."

Hell yeah.

I nod. "Seems like a good idea." I say while grabbing my phone. "Holy shit.. 15 text messages and 5 phone calls..?" I mutter. My mom is crazy. Jisoo looks up from a cat that she's feeding. "What's wrong?" She asks me.

"I-i need to go.. my mom, she's been yelling at me to get home for the past hour." I quicky stand up up, grab my stuff and head to the door, Jisoo following me. "I'm not letting you go home by yourself. Your mom seems crazy." She says.

"Okay.. thank you."

We bike to my house and my mom is waiting on the patio, smoking. I get off my bike and my mom puts out her cigarette, and walks toward me. "Where. Have. You. Been." She scolds

Jisoo clears her throat. "She was tutoring me. We were at the cat cafe." She walks over and stands next to me. My mom rolls her eyes. "And who are you?" She asks.

Jisoo rolls her eyes back. "My name is Jisoo. I'm Rosé's friend."

My mom just blinks. "Well why are you here? Go home. I don't even like Jennie over here, why would I let you stay?" She snarls. Jisoo laughs. "Because you aren't in control of me so.. I'm gonna spend the night. You're welcome."

With that, She grabs are stuff and my hand, and walks me inside, leaving my mom in shock.
