Meanwhile in Portland, Oregon:

"GET UP!" said a loud, angry voice.

"For the last time, it's Sunday and it's still 10 am. Church's closed as well, so let me sleep!" someone with a drowsy voice replied.

A girl, around 20 years old, in a green t-shirt and gray short denims, with green dyed hair, was standing and glaring at someone lying in their bed, still under the covers.

"Mom's gone to the dentist! YOU were supposed to take me to class!" the girl yelled again.

Then the person under the cover finally got up. A guy, around 25 years old. Brown hair with a white patch, orange T-Shirt and black sweatpants. He grabbed a pair of black glasses from a side table and put them on. Then he looked at the girl.

"Why don't you ask Whitney to take you?" he said.

"Whitney?" she replied. Her expression softened a bit.

"Yeah, she's got a driving license, hasn't she? You can ask her to take you to the class."

"O-Okay."

Then he rubbed his eyes and looked at her again.

"Are you gonna leave without a coat in December?" he asked.

"Mine didn't dry yet. It's still soaking wet," she replied.

"Just take my jacket. You'll get really sick in this weather, with possible frostbite and hypothermia."

"It's 5 sizes too large for me."

"Do you WANT to freeze to death?"

"Fine, I'll wear it." Then she hugged him. "I gotta go now. Bye, Harrison!" She grabbed a brown jacket and left the room.

"Bye, Chloe," Harrison replied. Then he just closed the door, took off his glasses, switched off the lights, and went back to sleep.

10 Minutes Later

Chloe was sitting in the co-driver's seat with a blond haired girl in a white Coat, yellow muffler and yellow sweatpants driving. She was Whitney, Chloe's best friend for 16 years.

"Where are we going, again?" Whitney asked Chloe.

"It's just straight for 3 miles, then the next right turn and keep going for a few miles and then we'll reach a small area of fitness stores." Chloe replied.

They drove in silence for a few minutes.

"What do you even learn there?" Whitney finally asked Chloe.

"Do what where?" Chloe asked back.

"Where we're going. Why do you go there?"

"Oh. I teach Kickboxing to kids."

"You're kidding."

"Why would I joke about that?"

"Because you're still in med school, Chloe."

"So are you."

"Fair enough. But why?"

"Well, it's a bit of a touchy topic for me, but just know that I got attacked one day when I was quite young, but luckily I knew some Kickboxing then, so I could defend myself. I don't want anyone else to face the same thing I did, so I decided to teach kids Kickboxing, so that they can defend themselves if such a situation ever rises."

Whitney didn't say anything. She knew Chloe had quite a tough past. She would only talk to a few people, including her. She knew nothing Chloe could do would surprise her anymore. But she still admired Chloe a lot.
