I have patched up most of the wounds when I sense something behind me. I quickly wrap a bandaid around the last few cuts. My eyes look around shiftily as I turn around and asses the situation.
1. I sense something behind me.
2. I see the outline of an animal in the shadows.
3. I see the she-wolf looking at the shadow.
4. Is it one of those messed up wolves?
5. Or is it a member of her pack?I reach for my katana which was laying beside the first-aid kit, and place it in its sheath, to come across as non-threatening. I (heart-whrenchingly) untie the clasp holding my dear sword to my waist. I set it down as if I was placing the corpse if a dear... No, not friend. I don't have friends... maybe dear thing? Yes, that works. I set it down as if I was placing the corpse of a dear thing to me. I gaze lovingly at it. Then I tear my gaze away and stare where the she-wolf is staring. From the shadows emerges a grey wolf with brown splotches on its back. It's hackles raised, eyes narrowed, it recognized my assuming superior posture. But it would not back down, and I did not want to get my throat torn out in a battle for the alpha here. I lowered my gaze from his eyes and slouched my back, shrinking away to seem less 'leader' and more 'follower'. The wolf calmed down and walked over to me, keeping its head high and tail lifted to show his/her power and leadership. After a moment I dared to peek up at the wolf. The wolf has many features of being a male, and the she-wolf acted as if he was her alpha, so after that quick glance I looked back down. I saw the she-wolf struggle to get up and I freaked out. I moved over and picked her up. If the alpha needed her to stand and go somewhere, I don't care. She would still go, but I will carry her and not let her tear her injuries. She saved my life, and now it's my turn to give back the favor. the alpha gave a disapproving snort, but turned around and walked away. I followed him into the darkness of the woods. I would occasionally stumble and trip, but I never fell and never dropped the she-wolf who saved my life.
After a quarter-mile run at my full potential (about) , I saw a patch if land with light in it. I couldn't see perfectly, I was pretty far away, but I could tell that there were other wolves milling around the clearing. With my mind hazy from exhaustion from carrying the injured she-wolf, I finally remembered I left all my supplies at my landing spot. I cursed aloud, causing a stern glare from the alpha. I mentally planned out the path we took to get here and figured out how and when I would get my katana. I will drop off he she-wolf and run back, ignoring the obvious pain all over from the previous run. If I don't get killed first by the wolf pack for being seen as an attacker of one of their pack members. Knock in wood, right? I laugh nervously and the alpha again glares at me, this time with a growl. I shut up and nod my submission. Once we reach the edge of the clearing, I set down the she-wolf. She slowly limps into the camp and gets help from some wolves, leaning on her against her shoulder, to an unknown place, most likely to rest. I step into the sunlight, following the alpha an prepare to defend myself. All the wolves immediately snap their heads towards me, ears pricked and hackles raised, growling. To my left, I see a wolf leap at me, I jump back, avoiding it. As I look around, I notice the alpha twitching and barking at the other pack members. They back down. I fall to a knee. An intense burning it starting in my stomach. It's hunger, or a cramp from running. I tell myself. But then I double over, the pain spreading through my chest, down to my legs. It constricts my lungs an throat, so I can't breathe well. As I gasp for breath, the pain dreads to my arms and head, and continues to spread. Sol my entire being consists of pain, every fiber and nerve burning with agony. I try to adjust, get used to the pain, but once it lessens it's grasp, it only grips tighter and it's worse then before. I grit my teeth, tightly shut my eyes, and hold onto reality. I quickly give into the pain, and let it wash over me. For what seems like years, I toss and turn, curl into a ball and relax, flop around like a fish out of water, and nothing will get me out if the pain. I somehow feel my forehead, and notice I'm burning up. I don't notice at first, but my limbs are shrinking, collapsing, expanding in places they shouldn't on a human. My body becomes disfigured, and I wish for death to escape it.A/N: Hey, readers! Sorry this chapter was so short. But, now I'm ON SPRING BREAK!! WHOOT-WHOOT! And my pool is done!
