Eyes like the sunset, I saw her from across the distance. Our eyes met, she looked at me. But did she see me?Her beautiful big round eyes were complimented by her dark golden skin that was glistening in the Limpopo sun.
She had a small curved smile on her big full dark lips. She went back to talking to him. Her hands casually playing with her beautiful crown of hair. I couldn't help but stare. She had me in a trance.
He kissed her cheek and my blood boiled. I don't have a right to be angry, she is his. I can't look at her like this so I rip my eyes away from her. Someone it caused a physical pain in my heart to do so.
Then I hear her laughter. I can't help but look again. She is gracefully chopping veggies while holding conversations with the other ladies, most of whom were my relatives. Nobody else mattered at the time, not even Xiluva.
"Are you done slicing that liver?" My cousin Muhluri nudged me and asked.
That's when I remembered that I probably looked like hell, wearing an overall covered in dirt and remnants of blood of the cow we slaughtered earlier. My dreads were also just tied up in a messy way. My beard not trimmed. Damn!
Now I was hoping that the beautiful angel didn't notice me. This was not a pretty sight for a first meeting."Almost done." I replied to Muhluri and glanced over at the angel. She was looking in my direction and when our eyes met for the second time she immediately looked down.
Wait... was she blushing or my eyes were deceiving me? She raised her head a bit and she was wearing the most beautiful shyly embarrassed face I've ever seen.
Was it because of me?My thoughts were disturbed when I heard Amukelani talk behind me. I looked back and he was looking at her, while bragging to the guys about how much her hit the jackpot with her. That's when I realized that she had probably been blushing because of him and not me.
