Piper's Pov-

Tears embellishing Mason's shirt, I finally looked up into his eyes. He saved me, he kept fighting until he got me back. He cares. Finally, I see that this one incident, changed my life. Ours. I felt a sudden pull in my chest and mind. My wolf has accepted him, but she can't fully unless I do also. Starring at his expression, I accpeted him. He is my mate; I've made my choice to go the werewolf way. After all, I'm a werewolf, not human. His face lit up as we both felt a sudden strong pull of connection between us. I could fully feel his emotions and he was over the moon happy. I was too. Mason is mine.

"You just accpeted me right?" he mind linked me still smiling like a mad man. "Yes," I responded, actually blushing. Damn this boy messes me up. His smile somehow grew impossibly wider. He's so happy. Then, I realized everyone was watching sides Jay. "Where's Jay??" I asked worriedly to no one in particular. I instantly did a 360 of our surroundings. He's not here. Did they kill him? No. They couldn't of. "Stop worrying, Taylor," Mason mindlinked me. "How can I not?!" I freaked out. "Calm down, babe," he cooed, pulling me into his lap. His warm, safe arms wrapped around me protectively. Jazz and Josh looked at each other nervously as I leaned, enhaling his scent, against Mason's chest.

I closed my eyes and let out a ragged breath. "Someone just tell me where my brother is," I ordered preparing myself for the answer. "We don't exaclty know, he rsn after a rouge,"Jazz answered nervouly. Josh just starred at me blankly and I instantly felt gulity and sorry for him. Mason bursted out in growls because of my thoughts. "Mason," I said outload as he pulled me closer to him snarling while rubbing his face into the crook of my neck. "Mason, please calm down and stop holding me so hard. Your hurting me," I whispered. "Sorry," he answered losing his grib a little, but it was still tight. Good enough. Now, I need to talk to Josh. "I need to go talk to Josh, then we need to go find Jay," I mindlinked Mason. He growled in my head at me saying Josh's name. "Why?!" he asked obvioudly furious. "Cause he's upset and I hurt him. He deserves an apology. I'll be quick. Sides we need to go find Jay," I said. "Ok," he gritted out. Kissing him on the forehead, he losened his grib and I slipped out of his lap. I know this is hard for me to ask him this since I just got kidnaped by rouges and he finally got me back. Especially since I just accepted him, he doesn't want me to leave his sit. He watched me as i got up, a little wobbly, and walked over to Josh who was talking to Jazz about Jay. "Hey can we talk," I asked Josh. "Yeah," he answered. I lead him behind the car a few feet out of ear shot, well werewolf ear shot. "I'm sorry, but I accepted Mason as my mate," I whispered looking down. It's a habbit since he's more dominant than me. Obvioudly since he's strong and popular. Not as popualr than me, but yeah. " I figured that, I just wish I had a chance," he growled obviously upset. I felt upset too, but I'm masons mate and I choose that and will stick to that. "Oh ok," I whispered looking at his feet now. He was in just shorts from the back of jays truck since he had shifted.
When werewolves shift, they have to take off their clothes unless they want them shredded into tiny pieces. That's what happened to everyone. Thankfully, Jay always keeps a lot of extra clothes in the trunk. I even put a pair of clothes for me in there, but I didn't shift so I don't need it. Why didn't I shift? Oh right- fear. It's a poor habit of mine. Ever since rouges attacked the pack once when I was 7. I had learned to shift, we all do at 6, but I've never encountered a rouge before. That was the first day.
I was outside, running around in the woods with Stacy, and we passed a little stream. We both knew we were still in out territory so we knew that we were not trespassing onto their territory, well that's what we thought. Until we saw their wolves, red eyes with drool slopping out of their muzzles. I was stunned into silence, to petrified to shift. Stacy of course did. They looked our age, but were defiantly rouges not looking to play. They were what we call wild rouges.
The rouges we just encountered were not wild rouges and you could tell by the way they were still sane and their wolves did not have red eyes. Wild wolves are not sane and have red eyes. We just happened to have a little visit paid to us by wild rouges. There were two so we were even, except the fact I couldn't shift. I tried, but my fear stopped me.
Lily was growling furiously in my mind trying to help me, but my fear over took her tries. Stacy tried to fight them off while I sat there frozen, but they were to much for her. Until another wolf jumped over the stream and stood right in front of me and Stacy. He radiated power though. He looked about 8 and had a silky furred black wolf. He is the alphas son. All realization hit me at that moment. I didn't know this when I was 7 and never have since I was 7. But alphas can detect their mate instantly once they find her no matter what age. That's why he came to help us, because I was his mate.
He fought off the wolves with great power and instantly. He then disappeared though, we didn't even get a chance to thank him. I have to tell Stacy, but for now I need to focus on josh.
"Josh I really am sorry," I said now looking up into his eyes. " I did like you, but I can't help it to like mason. He is my mate," I continued. "It's fine, I understand. Just know that I really liked you and if it doesn't work out with mason. I'm still available," he stated giving me one last hug and walking back to everyone else. Mason appeared from behind the car and speed walked over to me. But of course his speed walk is basically a jog. He instantly wrapped his large arm around my waste and pulled me to him. "I missed you don't do that to me?! Especially after all of this," he screamed letting his voice go soft at the end. " I had to apologize and I missed you too, " I said taking in his enchanting scent. It made me feel safe and that is something I needed to be right now.
Thinking about the things he would of done to me, I shivered leaning even more into mason. "Baby, I can feel your emotions. Stop thinking about it; your safe now," he whispered in my ear, rubbing his head in the crock of my neck. He tugged me closer to his body and started walking to the truck. "I know but I can't help it... Wait how did you know what I was feeling?? You haven't marked me or completed the mating process?" I said instantly blushing at my last comments.
"I know but we are different some reason, our bond is stronger. That's why I couldn't resist earlier when he went to mark you," he whispered and I could feel his anger. I gasped jumping back when I felt a zing of power touch me from our contact and my sudden feeling of his anger. Mason looked shocked and gave me a confused look. I know he felt it, but why wasn't me confused on it.
"You felt that too right?" I asked trying to reassure myself. "Yeah, but what was that?" He asked and answered. "I-I don't know," I struggled to say. It didn't hurt. It felt, well, good. I don't know how to explain it. It was like a shock, but made me feel great all over my body. "Ok let's just forget that happened, we'll figure it out later," he whispered coming closer to me. He wrapped his arm around my waist and walked me from behind the truck and toward the group. I sighed and leaned into him. He tugged me closer starring with no expression at josh. I don't know if he's mind linking him or is just starring. Then, I felt it. I could actually feel him mind linking josh. Josh's eyes narrowed and he walked away. Where is he going? "What did you say to him, mason?" I mind linked him. " I told him to go home and I'll take care of you, wait how did you know?" He mind linked me back. I could sense it. Isn't that weird?!" I asked in his head. "Yeah," he mused back. "Let's go home it's been a long day," mason said out loud this time to Jay and jazz. "Yeah, I'll bring her to the car," Jay answered coming towards me. I went to move towards him but mason tightened his grip. "I'll take her," he said expressionless with no anger in his tone. It's an alpha thing. They have to learn to be cool and collected in situations, but I think he's serious about this.
I guess it's because jays my brother. Jay glared at him and then took in the fact that we were mates by looking at us tangled in each other's arms. "Ok," he said his voice softening now looking at me. Jazz put on his crazy smile and said," good cause I'm tired out from beating up bad guys!" We all laughed and started walking toward the car. Josh didn't live far from here so he just walked home.
Walking towards the car, I suddenly felt dizzy. Crap. I gripped onto masons shirt and tried to hold myself up. My eye lids fell heavy and another spark ignites between us. I fall to the ground now in shock. Trying to focus my vision on mason, I can make out the pain in his face. That's why the spark went off, he felt my dizziness. He shook it off and dropped to the ground whimpering, worrying for me. Again, I could feel it. The spark does not hurt me just scares me with it's meaning. Well we don't even know I what it means.
He scooped me up and placed me into his lap. Struggling to stay awake I could make out Jay and jazz crouching down next to him. Jay stuck his hand on my forehead. "She not hot," is all I could make out from what Jay said. I whimpered sinking into masons chest, blinking furiously. "Get her car," I heard jazz say well all I heard from jazz. Mason nodded and picked me up into his arms, standing up. Another wave of dizziness hit me with the sudden movement and mason fell back to ground blinking, clutching me with all his mite, trying not to drop me. "She's affecting mason!" Jazz screamed. " I know, I'll take her you help mason," Jay growled. He took me from masons arms and I whimpered even more, not because of the dizziness but he took me from mason. Mason growled but didn't argue. Then everything went black.
