Imani Pov

"Ahh!!".

"The movie hasn't started Malik, why are you screaming".

"I know, I was just practicing Naomi". Malik retaliates.

"Practicing for what?" I asked.

"Practicing my scream".

"Right", Amari speaks out in sarcasm. 

"Shut up the movie is starting", Hakim scolds us and we all shut up. 

We watch the movie and it was going well you know, a few screams and laughs here and there. The movie went on for a another hour, we were sitting there, focusing on the movie whilst Hakim and Naomi had passed out snoring on the cinema sofas.

The movie ended about a couple of minutes ago and now I'm laying in my bed facing the ceiling of my room, unable to sleep due the fact that my thoughts were keeping me up. 'Kane', that's all I can think about and I suddenly feel the urge to be around him, to feel the warmth of his body, "His kiss", I whispered to myself, as I place my fingers on my soft lips, where Kane's soft pulp lips had once touched.

I don't know what he is doing to me, I couldn't possibly be in love with him. Kane was a Mafia boss, he couldn't possibly be in love with me, I don't even think he knows what love is. He kills anyone and anything without feeling any remorse what so ever, killing was a sport for him a man like that isn't capable of loving, right? He is well known for his brutal actions and his criminal activities, he was a monster, a pure Devil. I knew deep down that I wasn't good enough for him and I couldn't possibly keep up with such a lifestyle, I may be born into it but I'm not happy at heart by it. I love my family and I always will, no matter what.

Kane and I could never be, I was in love with him but I know that he may not even feel an ounce of love for me, I could just be someone to keep him distracted from his busy and dangerous lifestyle. A 'distraction' that's what I was to him.
