Yami puts the card back on the table before glancing at my extra deck. He gingerly picks them up, examining the cards. “What kind of cards are these? I know these three are fusion, but these other two...” I grin and point to Stardust and Azure-Eyes. “These two are Synchro monsters. They don’t have specific monsters that must be sacrificed to get them, they just have to meet the general standards. Say I have Blue-Eyes and Rider of the Storm Winds on my field.” I set out the two cards. “I can sacrifice them both and get Azure Eyes. Then, at my next Standby Phase, I can get Blue-Eyes or another monster in the graveyard back on the field using Azure’s ability.”
Yami nods, watching as I demonstrate with my cards. “What about this… Stardust?” I frown and glance at the card. “To be honest, I haven’t used it yet. I know it does a phoenix thing, where if you sacrifice for whatever reason it has on there, it comes back the next turn.” He frowns before reading the effect. “During either player’s turn, when a card or effect is activated that would destroy a card, or cards, on the field: You can tribute this card, negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. During the end phase, if this effect was activated this turn, and was not negated, you can special summon this card from your graveyard.” He shrugs. “Seems a bit powerful to be honest.” I chuckle. “Trust me, their are some REALLY broken cards out there. Make Five-headed Dragon seems like crap.” “Really?” he tilts his head with interest. I nod. “I mean, I’m not the person to ask about that, considering I don’t know about half the card that exist in my world, or this one for that matter, and I’m still pretty new at this whole shebang.”
A soft yawn breaks us from our conversation. We both turn around to see a sleepy Mokuba wander in through the door. He rubs his face and looks up at us with half-lidded eyes. “Lisa?” he mumbles. I smile and turn the chair around. “What’re you doing up, you little fuzz-brain?” Mokuba wobbles closer before climbing up on my lap. I giggle and hug him. “I wasn’t sleepy anymore…” he mumbles. I smile and pat his head. “I bet you’re hungry then?” He nods, a small smile appearing on his face. I glance up to see Yami smiling softly at the younger boy. I sigh and adjust Mokuba so I can stand up, still carrying the small boy. I glance at Yami. “You want anything while I’m up?” He blinks, slightly surprised. He opens his mouth to say something when a soft grumble sounds. He yelps and glances around. I giggle and poke his forehead. “‘Twas only thine own stomach, your royal dorkiness.” I say before turning around and hunting down the cabinet I’d found that bowl in earlier.

Yami rubs his forehead, frowning in confusion at Lisa’s statement. She held the young Kaiba, who had fallen back asleep on her shoulder, while she poked around in the kitchen. He was tempted to stop her and look for food himself, partially because he didn’t want her snooping around the Muto's kitchen, and partially because he technically lived here and it’s good manners… right?
By the time Yami had finished his thoughts, the brunette had sat Mokuba in one of the chairs with a bowl of cereal. Yami then noticed she had left a bowl, the box of cereal, the milk, and a spoon on the table in front of him. Embarrassed to have let his mind wander so much, he quietly poured some cereal and milk and started to eat.
------
Mokuba eats his cereal, smiling and humming sleepily. I sigh and ruffle his hair before peeking into the front room. Yugi is starting to come to, judging by the fluttering of his eyes, and-
