Rain slid off the school buildings roof loudly as it rained. Thunder could be heard in the distance.Students stood under the roofs edge.
Nightmare stood among them, watching the rain fall in front of him.It was almost amusing how other students used their bags and even books to shield themselves from the pouring rain.
Some students remember that it wasn't summer anymore and had brought their umbrellas with them.
The luckiest were the ones who had family who could drive, or they had cars of their own.
Nightmare snickered under his breath as a short sophomore tripped and landing right into a large puddle face first.
School had been over for about ten minutes now, only Nightmare did not want to give the rain a chance to soak himself with water, so he stayed under the cover of the roof.
The wind picked up and seemed to push the rain towards Nightmare.
Nightmare's tentacles thrashed around lightly on irritation as they were soaked with rain water.
Now cold and wet, Nightmare stood there very unhappy.
His nose had a reddish, purplish tint and his hair was now wet.
Water droplets littered Nightmare face as the wind changed directions again and left Nightmare alone.
Nightmare was thankful he had changed out of his uniform minutes earlier in the bathroom after the bell rung. The uniform now wouldn't get ruined in the rain.
The tips of Nightmare's hands were cold to the touch. His fingertips were also reddish with a tint of purple.
Nightmare had changed into his large black sweater hours ago. Thankfully, it did seem to keep Nightmare warm at least a little bit.
Nightmare had also chosen to change into his black ripped jean after the bell rang. Jeans were a pain to dry when they get wet.
Hiding his hands in his sweater, Nightmare put his hood on and stood there in the cold hugging himself against the winds cry's of rage.
A hand landed on Nightmare's shoulder causing him to flinch.
When Nightmare jumped back his "attacker" put his hands up smugly.
"Chill, Dust was looking for you. We thought you left already."
Nightmare glared at Killer.
"Don't do that." Nightmare said coldly.
"What? Touch you? Pff- why, did I scare you too much?" Killer broke into almost evil sounding laughter.
Nightmare glared unamused.
"No, you just.. surprised me for a moment, ya know." Nightmare quieted down wiping the water from his cold cheeks."Are you and Dust close?"
Nightmare asked as he looked back out into the rain. Every student seemed to be gone now."Dust? Oh yea, we're close buddy's. Been friends for what feels like forever." Killer said placing a hand on his hip as he spoke.
Killer took out his umbrella and handed it to Nightmare.
"You looked soaked, how long have you been standing here?" Killer asked."Couldn't find Dust. I really have no idea where I was going anyway. Decided to stay put." Nightmare mumbled as he opened the umbrella.
Killer just shrugged and started walking towards the gate motioning with his hand for Nightmare to follow.
Nightmare held the umbrella as he walked side by side with Killer.
