Our story starts the last day of middle school. It was no different than any other day other than there being no classes that day, everyone just spent the day cleaning classrooms. I got to school late so I had to stay late cleaning the classroom. My best friend Clair left for vacation earlier that week, so it was me and Haru left. He wasn't late for school but he fell asleep on the roof so he had to stay late too.
It wasn't awkward or painful that he was with me, in fact, we have been friends since the 3rd grade.
"Any plans over break?" Haru asked while cleaning the whiteboard.
" Yeah I plan on spending all break with my boyfriend Len Kagamine and we will ride off into the sunset on horseback! Haha"
"Pssh haha! You? boyfriend? Please!"
"Hey!!"
"Teasing! Teasing! Haha"
"Ha. Ha. Very funny Haru"
After a long silence he said words I'll never forget. "Ya know, you should still spend your summer with your boyfriend, that is, if thats me."
At first I couldn't believe it. All this time he has felt the same way as I feel about him?! Was the thought that played on repeat in my mind over and over, and almost without hesitation I said, "I'd like that!" And smiled brightly.
He looked just as shocked as I was but he smiled back at me.
That was the beginning of our little relationship. We both were new to the whole dating thing but we were both very much, well in love.
