It wasn't long before I was up and out of that room. Rokune wasn't there and I assumed that if I wandered the halls eventually someone would try to help me so wandering I went. I was walking around what looked like a cross between a church and a school. The place I was in had so few rooms, and the rooms were rather small, they looked like normal classrooms, dull and bleak as ever, but the building they belonged to was as elegant as a church. Then I found this huge room, the room had a stage and pews in front of it. Right across was an even bigger room, the gymnasium, and there was tons of ghosts zooming from wall to wall, the fastest of them was Kanato.
Not realizing the fullness of my possible consequences I walked in. To my demise the newest flyers were flying on the far left, where I so conveniently opened the door. By doing so a rather poor flyer met their demise as their face meet the door I opened. They ran out of the room with a nosebleed.
Then all eyes were on me. Especially Kanato, she was pulling the collar of my hood as she lifted me off the ground. The instructor told her to let go of me immediately so I fell 4 ft, luckily gravity wasn't the same here as on earth otherwise I would be in the nurse's office with the nosebleed kid.
All the flyers came to a halt and I was harshly interrogated by the leader of the class. Most questions had answers that I didn't know so everyone in the room was silently mocking me. Some were snickering and whispering to one and other. The only thing I did was look at the glass this 'world' called ground. I looked up slightly to see that the other side of the room had benches, so I did my best to avoid eye contact and any further questions and sat at the other side of the gym. Sitting in the far upper corner of the bleachers hugging my knees. I was so deep in thought I felt like I could start crying again, but I wouldn't let myself do that anymore. Instead I started singing a song in my head. It was my only comfort at the moment because I was lost in this school and I had no one to run too, this is the scariest moment in my life, I thought because no matter how you put it I was alone in this world. The names of the people that brought me here are all I know about them so it's not possible for me to consider them friends some more than others as much as I wished too. How unpleasant.
The class was dismissed not long after I entered, silence was my only company for a while. I heard the door open but I didn't dare look up. I figured it would be Kanato coming to teach me a lesson, or a teacher coming to lecture me so I figured it best to stay as I was.
Then I heard music. I felt a warm hand on my shoulder so I knew it was Rokune. He put some Green glowing headphones on my head and played music from a band I recognized. Everfound. I looked up and he was apologizing again but I couldn't hear from the music he was playing. He stepped back and held out his hand. I showed no emotion but we both knew I was happy he was there. He helped me up from where I was sitting and helped me down from the bleachers. We walked out of the school and he took me to the edge of the glass where I fell and we met.
He let me sit and listen to music as he sat in silence. I tried to stop thinking and tried to enjoy the music as it played. I looked out onto the horizon where the stars met the trees. The place I had lived wasn't in the middle of nowhere but it was surrounded by forest so most of what we could see from where we sat was aspen and pine trees, and the forest was dotted with oak trees here and there. Even with the sight being mainly trees it was nonetheless gorgeous.
I took off the headphones, he so graciously let me borrow , and returned them to him.
"D-do you miss it? The world?" he asked sort of hesitating.
"Yes I do."
"Why?"
"I was taken in the middle of the night. I never truly got to say goodbye to anyone. I died so young I never got to do anything important, I always was so focused on school so I could have a great future... that's now gone."
He never did respond to what I said. After silence consumed us for moments on end he stood up and helped me up. He motioned me to follow so I did so for a while till he brought me to one of the little houses. He took my hand and made it ball up like a fist leaving out my index finger. He told me that to unlock the door I simply had to touch the door handle with my index finger, and after doing so I opened the door and we entered.
The room had a familiar smell and shape and after he stumbled around looking for the lights I knew exactly where I was. The lights went on and we were in my room. The whole building was my room.
"As ghosts we don't need anything but the bedroom because we don't require food and if we don't need bathrooms either. Ghosts have only one need that is common with humans and that is rest, so this is the only room you need." He informed me.
"Um, thanks..."
"S-since Kana is not very responsable would you mind if I was the one escorting you and showing you around and whatnot?..." Even tho ghosts are made up of grays and one color, I was able to see him blushing slightly at his own question.
"I don't mind."
He smiled, "Great." He looked out the window and saw sun rise. " Well we should be going to rest soon," He swiped the wall like he was unlocking an iPad and pressed a few buttons. "If you need me just swipe here and select the second box here, Kay?" he walked out of the room and I was alone once more.
The silence was at its peak and it was more dreadful than ever.
