It had been a couple weeks since he and Ponk had rekindled their relationship, and Sam was just starting to realize the consequences of his lack of self care.

He never really realized how much touch starvation could effect a person until he went from being in Ponk's arms for an entire day to being in the hell that was the prison for two and a half weeks. He craved physical affection so much, but his responsibilities at the prison prevented him from doing the one thing he desperately wanted to.

He sighed, pressing the button that delivered Dream his food. The hybrid dragged himself to the little staff room, flopping down on the couch that was there with a sigh. He was so tired, he might just fall asleep here. The creeper pulled down his mask and took off his goggles, leaning his head back and taking a breath. "Um, s-sir?" Ant stuttered, Sam looking over tiredly. "Uhm, Quackity's already back... something about upping his visits to once in the morning and once at night." The cat mumbled, playing with his tail nervously. Sam sighed, nodding to Ant and slowly standing up. "Got it, Ant. You're free to go back to work." The cat scurried away, going back to lookout duty. The hybrid pulled his mask back on, putting on his goggles and walking out into the main room. Do it for Ponkie, Sam. Do it for Ponkie. They went through their normal routine, Quackity leaving after about thirty minutes of messing around with Dream. After doing his final rounds for the night, he made sure Ant knew what to do if there was an emergency before clocking out. He trudged through the server, speed-walking towards his safe space, the only solace he had on the server, Ponk's house.

Once he made it, he grabbed the spare key from under the doormat and unlocked the door, shuffling inside before locking the door once again. The creeper sighed, taking off his heavy armor and dropping it to the floor, hanging his goggles on the coat rack before walking down the hall to Ponk's room. He pulled his mask off as he opened the door, quietly closing it and walking over to the bed. The hybrid placed his mask on the nightstand, gently shaking Ponk awake. The smaller stirred, tiredly looking up at Sam. "Mmh, Sammy?" He mumbled, kicking off their blanket, shuffling back and opening his arm.

Sam crawled into bed, resting his head on Ponk's shoulder and sighing quietly. "Hey, Ponkie." He whispered, voice hoarse as a lump in his throat grew. "Rough day, Bug?" Ponk cooed, kissing Sam's temple. Sam nodded, tears welling in his eyes. "I'll be honest, Ponk, I haven't been feeling well all day and it's all coming crashing down for me right now." He whispered, shaking slightly as he tried to hold back from sobbing. Ponk wrapped his arm around Sam, rubbing his back. "It's okay if you need to cry, Sammy. I'm right here." He soothed, rubbing Sam's back as the creeper began to sob. They held Sam close, leaving soft kisses along the older's face as the man cried. "I just-I can't do this anymore..." He whimpered, gasping for air as he shivered. "He-he's coming twice a day now, which means I'll have even less time for you and-" He gasped, tears rolling down his face as he coughed violently. Ponk shushed him softly, hand going to pet his fluffy hair. The taller leaned into the affection, a low rumbling noise being emitted from his chest. "I just-" He croaked, voice breaking. "I feel like I just got you back, and now I'm gonna lose you all over again.." He mumbled, tears still freely rolling as his sobs slowly quieted down. "There's always so much to do, but all I've wanted for the past two weeks is to be in your arms." The hybrid whispered, kissing Ponk's jaw before curling around the smaller, cuddling up to him with a shaky sigh.

"Shh, it's okay Sammy. I'm here, I'm here." Ponk whispered, a lump forming in his own throat. "Don't worry, Bug. You'll never loose me." He soothed, pressing their foreheads together with a content sigh. "I love you so much, Ponk." The hybrid said quietly, yawning before nuzzling into Ponk's chest, cuddling up to him and getting comfortable.

Ponk waited for the creeper to fall asleep, grabbing his communicator.

"Hello? Ant?"

"Yeah, it's Ponk."

"I wanted to know how long you think you'd be able to take over for."
