The sick hobbit (Johnlock)

John was sitting on the sofa wrapped in a sheet with Sherlock laying his head on John's lap. John playing with his hair letting his fingers run through Sherlock's thick curls, Sherlock placing a kiss to his cheek every so often smiling proudly after each kiss.

"What are we watching tonight?" Sherlock asked holding John's hand.

"The hobbit, Desolation of Smaug" John said coughing afterwards.

"You ok?" Sherlock began to rub John's knuckles.

"I'm fine Sherlock, it's just a cough"
John coughed.

"Doesn't look like it"
Sherlock said shifting slightly allowing John to rest back on his chest, wrapping his arms around his bloggers waist.

"Is that better John?" Sherlock place a hand on his forehead checking his temperature. John only groaned in response.

"John..you're sick aren't you?" Sherlock saw all of the signs before hand but he thought nothing of it, he knew John would tell him, eventually.

John nods not taking his eyes off of the screen, it was his favourite part. He watched in awe as bilbo meets Smaug for the first time. Sherlock smiles for some reason he felt a connection to Smaug, he shook out of that feeling as soon as he heard his John start coughing again.

"John are you sure you're ok?" Sherlock felt sorry for his John he shouldn't be sick, he should be out of the flat helping him solve cases not stay at home.

"I'm fine sherl.." John smiled weakly.
"Just fine..a little tired but fine.." John said coughing.

"John, your voice is weak, you're coughing every five minutes and you look paler than usual..maybe you should get some sleep" Sherlock said.

"No sherl, I will be jusssst fine" john squeezed Sherlock's hand gently; looking
up at him tiredly.

Sherlock sighed pulling out his phone.
"Do you want me to call Lestrade?"

John shook his head.

"So, will you go to sleep?" Sherlock smirked.

John nodded closing his eyes, letting Sherlock play with his hair as he watched the movie, Sherlock still couldn't get rid of that feeling that he was apart of Smaug and Smaug was apart of him. He looked at John then back at the movie.

He noticed a few similarities between bilbo and John, most likely the height he thought to himself as he kissed John's cheek softly.

"Sleep well John.." Sherlock played with John's hair until the movie had finished only to watch it again just to see Bilbo meet Smaug.
